This , to me looks like Wilder's pride is over riding some common sense. Take time off, then smash a tomato can or 2 and see where the heavyweight landscape is this time next year. He could get the winner of Joshua and Fury if that happens, it ain't like he's gonna get better or worse in a year.

no he doesn’t, he is an idiot. He would be wise to take the step aside money and continue to recover from that savage beating then to go right back into the lions den and not be probably fully recovered. This is coming from a guy who is a fan of him.

You guys are being too harsh. Wilder took a beating, yet he's wanting to avenge it ASAP. Then you have a beta cuck like Canelo ducking and aging GGG out after 2 fights most people had him losing.

I didn't say it was the wise move... I said he deserves credit for being a warrior.

Wilder does deserve some credit if he goes for Fury-Wilder III so soon. I think he would be better served taking some time off though, then try and work on his game, maybe rebuild get another win vs another opponent or two even, before taking on Fury again.

No he's not. He could take one or two tune-ups and wait for the winner of Joshua vs Fury for an even bigger cash out. He could even fight and beat(which he will) Ruiz meanwhile to further hype up that fight. You're just a hater that doesn't want to give him credit no matter what he does.

Just take the step aside money for Heaven's sake and let the sport move on. Wilder will make more money fighting the winner of Fury v Joshua anyhow.

Not hating, I actually like Wilder.

I am saying that at 35 and having a really grueling fight months before I would not blame anyone to get out of the game with their health intact and millions in the bank.

Did anyone see a comment by George Foreman that Wilder needs to work on gaining strength?

A fool is a fool is a fool

He can make more money recovering and taking the step aside money and then getting his rematch worth 40%

While it would help in the clinches, I don't think Wilder has the time to add a lot of strength at least not enough to make up for what is a 40lbs weight difference.

Best thing Wilder could do is find another way of delivering the right hand, Fury has figured him out now, he needs to mix things up to land the right hand, simply trying to rush Fury by quickly stepping in and launching a right hand won't work if he's push back and smothered.

Simply learning to throw the right hand from the shoulder like Wlad and Joshua do would be something. Davidson and Fury in the first fight recognised Wilder only throws the right hand when he has it between his waist and nipple, so if he can throw the right from a higher position it would keep Fury guessing and allow him to disguise the right hand to some degree.

That would also help with blocking Fury's jab. If he can keep the right hand high to block jabs but also throw hard right hands from that position too, he could catch and counter over Furies step in jab, making Fury less aggressive behind his jab.

Idiots like you are dead afraid that Wilder by some divine invention lands a haymaker out of now where and flatens Fury for good.....even a blind hater like you will admit thet there is at least a 30% chance that he lands that punch and then your entire charade of labeling Wilder a total bum will back fire because your hero got stopped by a bum.

Fury is the best fight fior Wilder out there, what else, Big Tids Whyte.......300pound Taco bell ruiz...........Grandpa Povetkin who never won a meaningful fight....AJ?....without Wilder having a belt he will not go near Wilder............the tame samoan who is fighting scrubs ranked in the lower 200's.....

Or maybe he goes the Fury route, after all Wilder gave him the chance too, fight two Euro short order cooks and lines up Fury again while Fury defends his title against another Pastry chef. before that.

Boxing is a business.and IMO Eddie"Snakeoil" Hearns is not too keen to let his meal ticket go against Fury right away.

So just because Wilder lost to the best heavyweight in the world, now all of a sudden he’s gonna lose to another top 10 heavyweight?

    Y’all hilarious
