Not really I just pointed outD DWhyte has never contended for a world title but is still a big factor in the HW division. I never compared the 3 or their resumes
You brought him up to support your argument for Wallin and Schwarz which is still incorrect, as neither are factors despite the former pushing 30.
I brought him up because I said he had never contested a world title but is still a factor in the division and then pointed that it was Fury who beat the two undefeated HWs. They were 2 big undefeated HWs
And wallin would pretty easily be the second best fighter Ortiz has ever fought, who has beaten No1 of any note.
I’m not sure what your point is then. The two formerly undefeated heavyweights were handpicked safe fights for Fury so as not to jeopardize his rematch with Wilder. They’re not impressive wins whatsoever.
Was that the Wladimir Klitschko who was brutally knocked out by Ross Puritty, Corrie Sanders or Lamont Brewster? Or was it the one picking up wins against legends like Francesco Pianeta, Calvin Brock, Alex Leapai, Ray Austin, Jean-Marc Mormeck et al.?
Tom SchWarz went 2-0 (2 KOs) since his lone loss & is currently the This content is protected International heavyweight Champion
True, and Fury won the first fight with Wilder so 3 of his last 4 were vs undefeated heavies. But keep in mind boxing probably has 30+ undefeated heavies at any given point in time, maybe more. Schwarz was a disgrace and Wallin ranked around 45 at box rec when the fight happened.
My point is that when you have an unknown undefeated HW, you dont know how good they could be or are. I dont think it is a safe hand pick against an unknown big undefeated fighter and Wallin gave a very good account of himself and pushed Fury. I will go back to Whyte without comparing and remind how few thought he would be able to make a fight of it with Joshua, but he gave a very good performance as a undefeated HW. Consider how the hype increased for Duhaupas when he fought Wilder because he went some rounds. He was unknown to many but due to having some losses not considered as big a factor. But had he gone those rounds and been undefeated I think the win would have been even higher rated. Now I dont think Duhaupas before the fight was in many peoples top 20 HWs but he may have been after. Wallin had won the same EBU European Union title that Duhaupas had won
It could be debatable and could become so more after time. What do you consider to be Ortiz best win and was it against a fighter like Wallin who could push a fighter like Fury?
