Spin what? How is Wilder not fighting the top competition? He just fought the World Champion for the second time in 14 months on Saturday. And the #4 guy three months ago.

You guys have been repeating the same tired argument about Wilder's competition for so long you missed the last few years, apparently. Or chose to ignore it.

You were saying that Joshua quit though, and defending wilder who actually did quit that’s the problem here

Wilder "actually" quit? His trainer throwing in the towel while he was on his feet and punching back is quitting?

Yeah, you can still have a pop at AJ, that's fine.

Upsets happen, AJ avenged the loss, it wasn't the greatest performance but effective and he did what he had to do, he won his belts back, he changed his style and proved he can make adjustments.

AJ never threw his trainer under the bus even though many said he should, He was very loyal, in fact he went out of his way to defend Robert McCracken and AJ took responsibility for his defeat and came back and did a job.

What happened with Wilder was completely different..

In the opinion of the vast majority Wilder lost the first fight, I believe he was gifted a draw, people seem to gloss over this fact, Fury beat Wilder twice in my opinion, on points and then stopped him and what did Wilder do?

In the rematch he got smashed around, beaten up, stopped, Wilder didn't show anything new, anything different, anything that made you think he learnt anything from the first fight.

Wilder has blamed Breland, the Referee and a Costume.

As for the manner of the defeats, interesting that AJ got slaughtered because when it was suggested he never recovered from the knockdown in the third round some people were saying "gets hit and stays hit" and "he had long enough to recover", "Glass Jawed".

Wilder got dropped in the third by Fury, who isn't a huge puncher and Wilder never really recovered, he had spaghetti legs for the remainder of the fight.

It's amazing the same Wilder fans who were slaughtering AJ for not recovering have not called Wilder "glass jawed", "a fraud", "a hype job", they seem to not hold Wilder to the same standard as AJ.

The fact is Fury IS NOT A HUGE PUNCHER, he is solid but not huge, if he was Wilder wouldn't have made it to round 5, Fury hit him clean enough and often enough.

Yes I know Ruiz isn't Fury, there was a level of opposition difference and also Wilders corner stopped the fight and the referee did with AJ.

I do understand that.. but look how AJ and then Wilder have reacted to defeat, one acted with some class and acceptance and the other is blaming costumes and claiming he is a King so Wilder fans need to chill out and stop looking for any way to deflect away from the fact Wilder has been beaten up.

Wilder fans are going to have to suck it up and move on, AJ came back and got revenge, if Wilder is who some of you believe he is then he will do the same.

Yes, Joshua took on a bloated, late sub, and the moment Joshua fell behind for the first time in his title reign, he fell four times, spit out his mouthpiece, quit, blamed it on being 'nervous' fighting in New York and 'feeling pressure' because Wilder destroyed Breazeale fast than he had, and then Joshua grabbed the microphone from the announcer and stole the limelight from the guy who he'd just quit against in the biggest moment of Ruiz's life.

Wilder, meanwhile, took his beating, refused to quit fighting, was enraged when it was stopped, kept his comments short, congratulated Fury, let Fury have his moment that night, and left the arena quietly.

But Joshua quitting and grabbing the mic when Ruiz was being interviewed was the "classy" move. Got it. (sarcasm)

You guys have been smearing Wilder all week I think you forgot how Wilder actually reacted in the ring afterward.

And, frankly, I prefer fighters who fight until they can't do it anymore and HATE losing, rather than those who spit out the mouthpiece and give up the first time in their pro career they find themselves down on the cards (which Joshua did).

Wilder will get his opportunity at Fury again this summer.

Joshua can go fight the unrated Pulev, and, hopefully, he won't fall behind in the fight. Or "Mr Classy" might have to quit again.

Exactly. I always think of this fight when people bring up the AJ fight.

Would love to have seen what the forum dwellers would be calling Chico the coward for his lack of heart and quitting had the ref waved it off there.
