We aren’t going to agree. Before the fight many on here were talking about sales into the millions, that the fight had been brilliantly promoted, Arum and Warren were talking about multi - million sales. In that context 800k is disappointing in my opinion.
Fair enough, I think though given your track record you'd find something negative to say about it regardless how well they'd done !
Lol so Arum expects us to believe that there were more buys in a country with a population a fifth of the US where the fight was shown at some ungodly hour rather than over there in prime time with a population conditioned to PPV over decades?! Anyone believing this may be interested in some magic beans I’m selling. Please slide into my DMs for details.
Arum does indeed talk nonsense whenever he mentions ppv numbers but I'm ready to take him at his word here until I see otherwise.
Your thread is thriving mate with 4 pages and last night's Matchroom' Card on Sky has only a few posts - shows that some on here really love discussing PPV figures more than the actual fights.
Why is Tony Troll pretending AJ/Ruiz 1 done more than 650k buys? He always bigs up BARB as a "useful tool" yet they claimed AJ/Ruiz 1 done 400k buys. Eddie himself told IFL, "it was close to 500k buys but not quite". Tony Troll in meltdown again. Explain yourself, @TonyHayers
Wait until he finds out Frankie Warden was sniffing about his mother 21 months before his 1st birthday.
652k buys. Just google it yourself if you have to. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pay-per-view#United_Kingdom_and_Ireland
He also appears to have lost the mental capacity to add the UK and US PPV numbers together which looks close to or surpassing 2 million PPV buys in total with half or more of them at 80 dollars a pop. The fight generated more money than any AJ fight and Tony Troll is really struggling to calculate that fact. Eddie Hearn has accepted it but Tony may never come to terms with it. Absolutely seething God bless him. Imagine having the audacity to show yourself on here again after all the rubbish he spouted, never mind continue the narrative
The same sources which say Fury Wilder II did 800k show AJ Ruiz I doing 652k and Usyk Bellew doing more than 800k. You were told time and again that people’s champion Tyson Fury wasn’t really that popular and whilst people had heard of him a lot of those people wouldn’t bother paying to see him fight. Turns out not only did loads more people tune in for big fights featuring Anthony Joshua, Ricky Hatton and David Haye but in his own country Fury did less than a blown up light heavy who’d lost against Nathan Cleverly vs an unknown Ukrainian cruiserweight. Not terrible but really not that great.
