I feel he should but the fact that his fight wasn`t sen by a lot of Brits because it was on PPV will hurt his chances also the exposure that the olympics and the Euros gets by comparison could be a factor.

As it stands, I doubt it. He's in the news right now, but even last week people were bringing up his past comments to try and bring him down.

When public attention changes to the Olympics (Corona virus permitting) it'll probably be an athlete.

If Fury fights and beats Joshua this year though it should be him if there's any justice. I don't think Joshua vs Fury will happen in 2020 though.

His personal views are way to controversial for the BBC to endorse him like that

Agreed, those quotes will always haunt him unfortunately.

Quite often when a UK sportsperson or team achieves something significant at top level sport, it's acknowledged in the House of Commons at Prime Minister's Questions. Nothing about Fury's win at all.

This. You can recover from a lot of things but Tyson’s gone well beyond the pale. It’s not just all the gay stuff. Saying women who choose to have an abortion are as bad as people who abuse kids basically makes you look insane.

No chance sadly. Presently he deserves to win but with the Olympics and Euro’s this year his win will be forgotten and he’ll be nothing more than a nomination. Any sniff of him being a favourite to win will bring out the ‘me too’ and ‘woke’ generation campaigners. Greta Thunberg will be vocal on his use of private jets and Hell, he’ll probably be accused of a racial attack on poor Deontay who was simply exercising his right to celebrate black history month. Then again, maybe I’m too cynical..

It’s hardly ‘me too’ and ‘woke’ when he’s telling women who’ve had abortions that they comparable to people who abuse kids.

I don’t get all this ‘they are his beliefs and they must be respected.’ Anyone is entitled to tell anyone else that those beliefs are mental.

don't agree with the comment either, but seeing as his wife had a fair few miscarriages I can see why he said it

If it was down to Sporting Achievements and personality - he would win by a country mile.

Tony Troll has been writing daily to the BBC to complain along with his personal Stop Fury Loudspeaker campaign outside BBC HQ

If he started gender therapy treatment he'd be a shoe-in.

Does anyone really give a monkeys if he wins it or not. Tyson himself sold out when he went up on stage one year to apologise for what he said. He should have repeated what he said in front of the snowflakes. The Fury family are all hypocrites now let's face it. Depending on who's payroll they're on, they'll switch views. They were real when they were with Fat useless Mick.

It will be a gender neutral, mixed race paraolympian.

They wouldn't even give it to AJ for the Klitschko fight. If they wouldn't give it to AJ there's no way Fury's getting it
