Exactly the same with me, mate. Posts decent stuff but when it comes to the big man, all logic and reason go out the window. He would laugh at someone who posted the above, he’ll know it himself.
I agree, he also seems to dislike Billy Joe Saunders so I wonder if it's a problem with travelers generally.
Absolutely. He also appears to be a homosexual and hasn't gotten over how Fury recited comments from the bible in relation to homosexuality. In the meantime, he's completely given AJ a pass for being a racist. He wouldn't be as comical if he were at least a little consistent but his double standards are pathetic.
With PPV I really dont mind the concept, 2 of the best 3 heavyweights in the world fighting for the WBC belt. That is PPV, and I will happily pay for it. Skys model of making anything above European level PPV has really muddied it. Previously there is no way Joyce vs Dubois would be PPV. Chisora vs Usyk is a perfectly interesting fight, but no belt, and Chisora who has basically lost all bar 2 meaningful fights he has ever been in, hardly wets the appetite for a score
Tony now his numbers have been exposed as bull**** is going to avoid this thread like it’s a fresh bowl of bat soup from wuhan Market.
And before fighting Usyk had 2 fights at heavyweight and also started camp for Usyk weighing 18 stone. Tony’s spinning a bull**** narrative but I bet at time bellew Usyk was made he was talking bout Hearn puts on all the best fights now he’s shitting on it purely to dismiss fury. we have finally found the one thing tony loves more than matchroom and that’s hating on fury.
In fairness, you don’t need to be a homosexual to be appalled at what Fury said, look at the Folau situation...it’s a socially unacceptable thing to say in this day and age (and rightly so). I’ve given him a pass for it on the basis of his mental health, upbringing and the fact he’d say anything to get attention. I genuinely think he has become a more accepting individual but I can understand why some wouldn’t, homosexual or not. Even so, that doesn’t detract from the fact he is a great boxer and has become a PPV star. As for AJ, I personally wasn’t offended by what he said, yes it could be perceived as racist and showed a lack of judgement but I suspect it was meant as “banter” (I hate that word) and was in a private message not said for the whole world to see/hear. It’s a bit different and not necessarily double standards.
I similarly don't care about what Fury said because he simply recited the bible having been brought up a strict catholic. That's Catholicism and Fury was a controversially outspoken young adult at the time. Besides, he's a boxer, not a politician. He's also apologised publicly and clearly has time nowadays for all people. Likewise I don't care about what AJ said because he's a boxer, no a politician. Although perceiving what he said as "banter" is wishful thinking bud. It's absolutely double standards, as are most things Hayers says on here regarding Tyson Fury.
Brilliant numbers all round and well deserved because some of the promotion has been brilliant and BT’s content has been so strong. 50/50 would be more than fair to AJ I think and I reckon it’ll get done after the rematch.
I don't think the AJ thing can be called 'banter' because it was Eddie Chambers who exposed them. If I remember rightly, he said they never communicate, aren't friendly and the message was completely out of the blue. If Chambers saw it as banter, he wouldn't have publicised the messages. You also had Eddie Hearn trying the 'hacked' defence - which was quickly debunked. Somehow, they managed to get it out of the news cycle very quickly and it remains an incident that very few people know about.
