I would add that Spence was also more skillful than Mikey! To be clear I am not saying for one moment Mikey is not skilled because he is very highly skilled and is one of those that does everything well but Spence does everything better than him.

 

What the hell is Barry on about? Nonsense.

 

Spence has faster legs and longer reach than Mikey, that’s what he used to beat him, pulled a Floyd on him. There’s a reason Spence bullied pretty much everyone he’s ever fought but kept Mikey well on the outside. He pressed him a couple times and Mikey caught him with a couple counters on the inside and Spence went right back to keeping it long. I don’t think he was giving Mikey more respect than he gave brook, he just knew which advantages he held over Mikey and fought to those advantages. Skill wise they are same level in their own way, but Spence is more physically gifted.

 

We don't know if Vargas was affected by the weight drop. He's a big dude. But I do believe that Mikey hits harder.

 

There's a reason why Spence gave Mikey plenty of respect when they fought. He knew Mikey could punch and didn't want to get caught.

 

This is Pac's fight to lose. Pac will have been inactive for over a year now. Disappointed that he didn't fight in January. Seems his job in the Senate has really taken over his life.

 

Spence is either hiding glass or he isn't as good as we think he is. Do you think a 5' 9" and 160+ Pac would show Mikey any respect?

 

Yes I do think Pac will show him respect. Once he tastes his power or gets caught clean by a counter it will put something on his mind. Pac's best chance in this fight is early as Mikey is a slow starter and Pac is a fast one, extremely dangerous early perhaps the most dangerous early round fighter in boxing history. With that said the longer it goes the more that favors Mikey.

 

Mikey is a small WW but he's still naturally bigger than Pac. And Pac is like 40 years old. So yea he might hit harder.

 

Wrong. You still don’t understand the dynamics at play here. Garcia has proven how he adapts to different styles, across 4 divisions, barely losing rds. He just lacks the physical attributes to deal with a fighter the size and speed of Spence, who is very skilled at using that size and speed.

 

At what weight though? Pac is probably the hardest puncher ever at 122. Mikey didn't fight at 122. So what about 126? Pac is also one of the hardest hitters ever at that weight. Mikey is not.

Maybe Mikey hits harder at 147, but he couldn't even budge Spence.

 

Who HAS budged Spence? And who has Spence shown more respect for than Mikey?

 

The inability to negate a size, reach and height advantage is a skills deficit which the greatest fighters overcome. Garcia could not because Spence toolkit was to much for him. Spence beat him in every department and shut him down so much so that his father and brother wanted to stop the fight. He got a shellacking which is why he basically took a year off to recover. Mikey is a great fighter Spence is just better.
