If any of these guys were plucked from the past to fight Joshua now, would you favour any over him? Razor Ruddock Tommy Morrison David Tua Earnie Shavers Gerry Cooney All at their best. Fights scheduled for 12 and 3 Kd rule.
I'd favor every damned one of them over that overrated cigar store mediocrity...and all by knockout. God forbid that the thread didn't put him up against any of the superior 15 round monsters of the 70's.
None, but he could be caught. I'm not sure any would even beat Parker. Can you please keep AJ/Fury/Wilder threads in general?
Razor Ruddock - W Joshua. likly KO between R 4-8 Tommy Morrison - a 60/40 Fight for Joshua. Based on Style he is kinda comparable to A.Ruiz. Although Morrison is a faster and more agile. Ruiz more durable. David Tua - too short, short reach. Joshua will outbox him in 12 Rounds. Earnie Shavers - TKO Joshua R 7-10. He will run out of steam and cut badly in the mid Rounds. Gerry Cooney - 55/45 for Joshua. Very Close All guys will have a significant KO/TKO chance, because of Joshuas bad chin. He also lacks on stamina, timing and concentration when he gets under pressure. So in my opinion he will likely lose 2 Fights if he fought all the 5.
50/50 with prime Morrison, Tua could be a bad stylistic matchup Probably drops 1 loss to the murderer's row of contenders/lesser champs
Shavers and Ruddock both had that bad luck of coming along in great eras. They faced people like Ali, Holmes, Quarry, Tyson, Lewis. That's pretty bad luck. If they had being in there with Joshua last year..
I'm going to jump in at the deep end and say, as things stand with AJ, a fella like Morrison is bloody in with a good chance. Tommy s no legend but we know he can bang as hard as Ruiz, surely?
Harder, and he has better combinations whilst having deadly handspeed of his own Tommy has alot of heart too, he doesn't go into the silent agreement like Ruiz did in the 2nd fight
Morrison got up 3x against Lewis, 2x against Ruddock and kept fighting when his eye got knocked out of socket by George Foreman
And was stopped in one by Michael Bentt. I'm not saying he didn't have heart, but I am saying he ain't taking AJs best.
