He has a TBA on the 17fh of April and he's at the stage where he should be stepping up to world level. Would a Breazeale, Hammer, Takam, Romanov or Price do the job? I feel like they're all good enough names with the exception of Price to boost his standings to that stage.
Probably should have taken the Bakole fight. I am not sold on this guy. Half the time he looks like he is asleep in there, and now he is turning down fights. Big Josh is going to take on Pulev, Fury will rematch Wilder, and Whyte-Povetkin is signed. I think Usyk-Chisora is s still a go, and of course Dubois is fighting Joyce. So this guy really needs to figure out what he wants to do, because big things are happening in the division NOW, and he is not part of them. He is definitely not ready for a top contender yet if Bakole is too tough for him. Maybe Pianeta, or Bryant Jennings, if he can be found. Szpilka. Arreola. Stiverne. Kuzman. Anybody with a bit of a reputation that is not too tough.
Hrgovic - Rivas Hrgovic - Hunter Hrgovic - Joyce Hrgovic - Dubois I think these 4 would show where he's at in the rankings.
Pity that Hrgovitch pulled out of the Bakolie fight. Suggests that he will aim to excite the Polish diaspora in the States by rolling over some absolute victim.
I lost quite a lot of respect for him for not taking the Bakole fight, Hearn was out not so long ago saying he would fight anybody, it's hard to get him fights. Bakole says "OK, let's do it" and they swerve it. Anyway, opponents.. Duhaupas Hammer Szpilka Maybe somebody in that group then a step up to somebody like Rivas, Breazeale, Dubois/Joyce winner.
Dubois, Breazeale, Joyce, Hunter, Bakole Nice line up right there... Rivas would be a bad style match up.. for Rivas... but these other guys would do well. Molina had success with the clubbing overhand... now I want to see Breazeales signature overhand clubber on Filip "I am ready, I fight anybody" Hrgovic
Hrghovic-Wach Hrgovic-Fres Oquendo Maybe Huck-Hrgovic in 2022 Seriously, I don't see him fighting anyone with a pulse in 2020. No offense
Understood, he's slowed down the pace of his progress last year. But if he should really go for it this year he needs some of the solid top 30 experience followed by a top 15 opponent.
Woah didn't know he turned down a fight with Bakole. That initially doesn't look great, which is a shame of all the younger prospects he's the one that so far has impressed me the most. But with Dubois and Joyce getting it on, then he's in danger of being pushed behind the winner of that fight as the premiere prospect to look out for, at least in my opinion. Being an Eastern European fighter from a small nation he has to work doubly hard to impress as he doesn't have a huge potential fan base to tap into. He's got to be careful not to just fade out of people's minds which will happen if he doesn't take fights that fans will care about. I hope him not fighting Bakole may have something to do with Joyce not going the European route and fighting Huck for the European title. I think a fight with Huck for the EBU belt would be a decent step forward.
