I like Joshua, but everything he does seems small now compared to Fury

I just want to start of saying that I like Anthony Joshua, and thought he did a terrific job picking up the pieces when Fury abandoned the division. Whereas I legitimately detest Wilder for his talking of killing people, beating up hookers, and disrespecting legends while he fights schoolteachers and outpatients, Big Josh is a whole different story--he is a talented guy and a gentlemen. I think he will be rememberd as great.

But his is now Fury's division again. By making the epic comeback and beating Wilder--a fellow big three guy-- at a time when Joshua was struggling to 1-1 against a mediocre and obese fighter, Fury has put a his stamp on the heavyweight division. Everything Joshua does not seems small, like the sideshow. Joshua just signed to fight Pulev, and no one cares. They can't stop talking about last week. The ONLY thing Joshua could do to get his mojo back is to sign and beat Fury...

And I don't see it happening. Joshua could very well build on the skills he displayed in the Ruiz rematch and become a complete fighter, but he can't do it in time to beat Fury. I like and support Joshua, but I am going with Fury because:

    A) I have been with him longer, and
    B) I honestly think that at this point, he is just a much better fighter.

In any event, no trash talking for this one. Two good guys, and let the better man win.

Without a doubt Fury is the one with momentum right now after his 2 fights with Wilder.

Joshua in the mean time dropped the ball big time in losing to Ruiz Jr and will now likely be tied up fighting weak mandatories until he can a unification fight.

Had Joshua smashed Ruiz Jr and made a big splash in the US, then beaten Pulev in the US in decisive fashion he'd be in a lot stronger position now.

But right now it's Fury who's the one being lauded and praised, which is a strange role reversal for these 2 fighters considering where they were just a couple of years ago.

Momentum is the word. Fury's problem now will be sustaining it through what looks like an uninspiring rematch with a guy whose aura has deflated faster than a balloon in a pin factory. If AJ scores a signature KO of Pulev in front of a packed New White Hart Lane crowd then some of that lustre will head back his way. Course nothing is certain for either man...

I would love to see Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk, and I'd be favouring the Ukranian to beat Anthony Joshua.

Fury is now the biggest star in pugilist sports not called McGregor.

I swear boxing fans have short memories hahah. Fury was the underdog before the rematch and his fight with Wallin had more comped tickets than bought ones. Both under 3,500. No one cares that he is fighting Pulev???? So, a sold out soccer stadium of over 70k, is somehow a smaller event than the 15k that came out to see the Fury Wilder rematch? Also, the PPV will be over 1 million in the UK. Yes, the Wilder Fury turned out to be quite an event, but don't get carried away, AJ is still the man in the division and he will be until someone has the balls to challenge him in a unification fight. He is fighting Pulev to keep the belt but he wanted the unification fight over that. It's what he has always wanted since getting his belts.

No short memory here. Perhaps you did not understand--we are talking about the mark that Fury JUST made. Just compare threads. How many are about Joshua and Pulev? How many about Fury Wilder?

Everything I said is exactly correct. If you don't have your finger in the wind, just wait until summer.

I think he's the legit number two though which means he deserves a pop at the legit number one to see if he can become said.

    Hope Fury mullers him though.

Top heavyweights don't lose to Andy Ruiz Jr, even if they do have a off night. I expect Fury to retire before he fights Deontay again. I also can't see Joshua making it past his next 2 title defenses in all honestly. The gradient in his performances have deteriorated. Ruiz, Parker, and Takam would have been smashed to bits by the bodybuilder just before the Klitschko fight. He's peaked, and the health issues he's had are starting to become more visible.
