Whyte by decision or late TKO. Alexander take too much on his head. Unfortunately. Will be glad to be wrong.
Big credit and respect to Whyte. Im expecting posters to come forward and say what about anyone else that fought Povetkin, like Hunter recently and say why not the same credit, but the reason I say big credit to Whyte is that, he is not taking a risky fight to be recognised or for an opportunity for a higher rating. Whyte is already recognised and highly rated, He is the #2 HW in The Ring magazine. Whyte has worked his way up to title challenger status in a big way. More than many many others. Whyte could arguably sit back and wait his turn, but he isnt doing that. He is taking on arguably one of the biggest challenges he could take in a non title fight.
The 7th time the interim WBC belt for grabs. Wonder if the winner will finally get a crack at the belt?
Whyte will definately come in shape for this one. I think it'll be a good fight, I see a Whyte TKO 8-12. Povetkin will drop him though.
Povetkin has been in decline since the Rudenko fight, fairly slow decline but decline nonetheless. I think he's waiting to take a ko loss from a contender before hanging up. Whyte could well oblige him.
I agree with this, a couple years ago I would have picked Povetkin no doubt but I think that Whyte is getting him at the right time. I don't like Whyte but he has proved me wrong a few times when I have picked against him.
Lets go Povetkin. His style is all wrong for Whyte. He will finish the job that Rivas and Wach couldn't.... Whyte has been on a decline in his last fights. thats a fact. he's not getting any better.
How can people not respect Whyte, has the biggest balls in the division and always puts on a good show.
Whyte has to show up in top shape even for an old and washed up Povetkin. Whyte can't afford to come in fat and bloated like in his Saudi-Arabian outing.
