If everyone understands it like you do, then no problem. But it's better to put the prime of Pacquiao during his first fight with Morales so that Morales will look a lot better.
Let's not get over ourselves saul. I agree with most everything you said. Except for this "schooling" that Erik supposedly did to Pac in their second fight. The first five rounds were FAR from a schooling, mate. It was very competitive and Pac landed some bombs of his own and won a couple of rounds. Chert also made a very good point that Pac was focusing much on Erik's body that fight. Come on now, don't let your mexican blood blind you to these things. Pac was doing alot of those early on and throughout the fight. And that was what caused Erik's legs to give up in the later rounds. It wasn't because he was 'old' or shot. It was purely because of Pac's body punches. Let's not overexcite ourselves
Don't get me wrong, I actually think that Pac was already in his prime in his 1st fight with Morales. I'm just trying to put some perspective on some of the people here who conclude that prime for prime Morales would "destroy" Pac when technically Pac is not out of his prime yet AND is still improving.
there is no way that pac can be beat by morales. did you watch their last match? it is so easy for pacman to kill him in 3 rounds. morales' side even said that he will beat pacman but did he?
That is a spot-on bias right there. We can make this simple. What is the prime Morales for you at 130? The one who fought Hernandez? Or MAB? Or Chavez? Or Pac (obviously, you won't choose this one)? Now, what is the prime Pac at 130 for you? The Pac that fought Morales (1st? 2nd? 3rd?). MAB? JMM? or Solis?:yep I'd say the Pacman that destroyed Morales in the 3rd fight would also beat the Morales in the first fight (since this is the basis on why he would win prime for prime), or any Morales that fought at 130. Why? Becasue the first fight showed us three things: 1) Pac can take any of Morales' power. 2) He was not yet comfortable at that weight yet. See the differences in his succeeding fights at 130. He was bulkier. The reason why Morales seemed never hurt by Pac (even during the first few rounds) was becasue he was considerably bigger on that fight, and therefore, able to weather Pac's onslaught. 3) Inspite of the bloody eye and all, Pac was still there fighting and making a close fight until the very end of the 12 rounder. They say style makes fight, and people would say Morales has the style to beat Pac, but Pac has proven also that he can crack that legendary chin, and that IMO would be the story of the fight if ever they fought at 130, prime for prime: Pac presses the action, Morales counters with his jab and superior boxing skills, but eventually, the proven speed and power of Pac would just overwhelm that technique. Pac TKO or UD.
I disagree. The Morales who fought manny the ifirst time was EM's best performance at 130. Morales was never prime at 130 so I'll use his best performance. The Morales from em-pac 1 still beats the version of pac from their third fight. There isnt much to go by as Morales conceded defeat early. If you want to use excuses, then the fact that Morales was drained could have lead to him fading down the stretch in their rematch. Those versions that pac beat were obviously faded versions of Morales. Under 130 and EM beats Pac even easier.:deal
Pacquiao should be a bannable word. All discussions pertaining to Pacquiao should refer to the lovable filipino as baboy.
Size played a big part in that fight, and it was obvious EM was the bigger guy right there. I think he was around 145 while Pac was somewehre between 135-138. When they fought the second time, Pac was already 140-45, around same weigh with Morales. And you saw the difference. Under 130, I would not discount a KO victory either for Pac or EM.
