Pedvetkin is 40 yrs old and certainly on his last legs as a competitive HW.

I am not really excited about this one at all. My bet is Whyte hammers hin out by the 8th.

Whyte quite clearly won the Rivas fight, nothing close about it

Look,Whyte has to be given the benefit of the doubt until this next fight is over before anyone can claim anything

I personally think he should have kept going and never got in to that shape but he did and won

If he does it again then judgements can be made win or lose

That's not the same thing as declining. You could suggest that he is declining if he trained as normal for the Mariusz Wach bout and he looked worse than normal. The fact of the matter is that he was as fat as a pig and took the bout on 2 weeks' notice and still won easily. Being knocked down by Oscar Rivas doesn't mean anything, either. Tyson Fury was knocked down by Neven Pajkic and Steve Cunningham and people said all sorts of stuff based on these knockdowns. People with common sense knew that these knockdowns were contextual.

Alexander Povetkin is overrated. I quite like him, but he has never been that good. He has never held a world title, despite biased people claiming the WBA's second-string belt is a world title. If it was a world title, then it would be required to be the undisputed champion. It's the same belt Manuel Charr has been sitting on for 2 and a half years and who regards him as a world champion? His resume is padded by defeating past it competitors. He has only truly stepped up twice and has been defeated twice.

Dillian Whyte will certainly beat him.

Everyone on the planet has an accent. What the hell does that mean?

And you're definitely hearing things, he's not punched drunk in the slightest.

He weighed 270...after taking a fight on short notice.

    That doesnt mean hes declining.

Neither does being knocked down, by an undefeated puncher like Rivas.

Whyte needs to hit some career heights first before we start talking about a decline. He just came in fat vs Wach.

    Wizbit... please show some decorum..

If the entire world... the entire media... the entire industry you work in... is labelling you a cheat.... when you know you aint... how will you handle it...

Forget about Vicky down the street from the post office catching you picking your nose in the road and telling the village...

We're talking about the entire WORLD... THE MEDIA.. THE NEWS... coming down on you HARD..

You wouldn't be able to leave your house... how can you comment if you ain't ever experienced that level of critique... you have no comprehension at all...

After all the hard work you put into the sport... grafting...

And you don't want to accept that Whyte had taken a hiatus since the news broke out prior to being offered the Wach fight?????

Why on EARTH would he stay in shape?? For what??? The guy was on the verge of walking away from the sport and commiting suicide.

I bet if someone in your HOUSEHOLD ate the last packet of potatos chips... you would cancel Christmas, let alone get in the gym and start grinding.

Pedvetkin is a overrated fraud, all his career is been nothing! Whyte is another overrated drug cheater who has struggled with all the good competition he has faced! I wont care who wins it will mean nothing

Rivas is a dangerous fighter, he is no bum. And as for the last fight, there were quite a few circumstances as to why that happened. Whyte was out of shape and the drugs situation didn't help him. It was obvious that Whyte's issues were down to the weight and inactivity that night, and not due to age.

We'll see where Whyte stands against Povetkin. If he loses, that's him done. If he wins, then he can go and challenge for a world title. This next fight determines whether Whyte is just a world-level fighter, or an elite level fighter. I tend to lean towards the latter. I expect Whyte to win but it's going to be close.
