Forgive my ignorance: why no Crawford-Spence?

Crawford's got a great gig running from a risk/payday perspective and doesn't seem all that hungry any more. I believe he legit doesn't care if it happens one way or the other so he's really not going to change anything about his career arc to make it happen.

I get moving up to 147 for the $$$ and not having to drain nearly as bad, but man I'd have loved to see him in the WBSS at 140. Would've been a really good boost to his resume before he moved up.

Also, we have no idea what Spence will look like when he finally comes back. There's no guarantee about how he handles that...sorry to say, but the time for that fight may be done for good.

Agree. Taylor and Prograis would be his two best opponents.

Crawford talked up Porter, then punked out when Porter called his bluff as well. That wasn't a good look at all.

And the PBC crowd continues to try and find an excuse not to have their people fight Crawford. "We need to let the fight marinate" was one of the first iterations of their excuses and now it is "there is not enough money for the fight." Of course there is not with Spence asking for 15 Million and a 60/40 split. How very convenient. Crawford called out Spence LONG before Spence decided to be drunk Mario Andretti. He offered Danny Garcia 3 million to fight and you see Mikey Garcia calling out everyone BUT Crawford. (Where was Mikey for the 2+ years that Crawford dominated what you and others call a "weak 140 division? Hell he didn't even hold one of the belts that Crawford consolidated) Despite all of the rhetoric from Porter's dad, you don't see much interest from his son in the fight. (Let's not forget it was Porter's dad who told Crawford to
"get a belt before you look to fight any of the PBC champions. Now that the shoe is on the other foot Dad wants a shot a Crawford's belt while never risking his own) I realize you are a Crawford hater but lets give Crawford credit for being a 6 belt winner, undefeated, and PBC boxers refusing to fight him.

And when he was there he struggled to make weight and was called a "weight bully." Now it is up to him to move to a different weight class? Where was Mikey and Danny Garcia when Crawford was at 140 for 2+ years? I continue to hear Crawford should go up or Crawford should go down. EXCUSES, EXCUSES, ESCUSES

Porter NEVER called his bluff. Porter's dad showed interest but his son never has. I am sure that PBC will eventually offer Porter up as a sacrificial lamb since he no longer has a belt. They sure as hell never had any interest with a belt on the line. BHAHAHAHHAA

    Al Haymon, end thread.

Wilder - you can’t fight Joshua
Charlo - you cant fight Andrade
Spence - you cant fight Crawford
Gervonta Davis - you cant fight anyone

    See a trend?

Except Porter just stepped up and accepted Crawford's challenge, only to have Crawford run away with his tail between his legs. A win over Porter would open the door for fights against other PBC guys, as it would raise Crawford's profile. Crawford has a resume that is the equivalent of Euro level. Not sure why Crawford fans ignore that fact.

When it comes to serious negotiations, neither of them will care to remember any of that.
