The Burton fight made sense for Yarde before he got the mandatory for Kovalev. I understand how people might not like that he got the Kovalev fight and the 7 figure payday before beating a Burton type, but that’s what happened. The fight at this moment doesn’t make any sense, until the unlikely event that Burton actually does something to become relevant. Yarde is probably on minimum 6 figures now, where as Burton is fighting in a 10k winners tournament. I guess if Burton wins it and Yarde is stuck for an opponent in the future then fair enough. Yarde if he wins this fight and maybe 1 more against a top 10 kid will probably be enough for Frank to secure him in the WBO mandatory position..like it or not.
