Going under the radar this because of Fury-Wilder fall out (still), Canelo’s picking or rather non picking of an opponent and today the Joshua announcement.

This has got the potential to be a great fight IMO, two fighters who are hard as nails, both only been beaten by top, top fighters in Farmer, Frampton and Valdez.

Carroll is going to be the fresher of the two, Quigg hasn’t fought in 16 months! Quigg also got a lot of miles on the clock for a 31 year old (shocked when i realised he was so young) ! But I’m gona back Quigg to shake off the rust and the miles and do a number on Carroll on the cards. UD Quigg. I just don’t think Carroll has got the power to hold him off and Scott should be a bit more comfortable at Super Feather you’d imagine, less of a cut.

    Bookies 8/11 and 11/10.

    Fancy Carroll.

Quigg takes far too many punches.

Depends what Quigg has left I suppose. I'll go for Quigg on pts with Jono getting off the canvas at least twice in an entertaing scrappy affair.

Quigg's time off makes this a very hard one to measure. When active he's a level above Caroll, so I'll roll with the crayon muncher

Finding it tough to pick a winner here basically because I don't know what Quigg has left in the tank.

He's been out the ring for a while and in his last few fights he seemed to be taking shots he didn't need too. Jono Carroll on the other hand has been keeping busy and his whole game is based around a high work rate.

That said, Quigg is a level above in the power department.

    Interesting fight.

Everyone else has already said it. To be honest I thought we'd not see Quigg back in the ring again. Last thing that man needs is another war.

I'll edge Carroll by a smidegon due to Quigg's inactivity.

Isn't Quigg back with JG for this fight?

    Yeah I believe so.

I know he came out and said he's not with Roach for this fight because of Visa issues getting into the states.

I've lost track with Quigg after seeing a lot of his early fights
Would like him to beat Carroll cause Carroll seems to think he's some double hard gangster giving it the big un' When in reality is he stepped up in class once and was beaten.
I'm sure i read Quigg was pretty poor in one his more recent fights and took a lot of shots and against a volume puncher that could spell defeat.
I'll probably go for Carroll on points purely based on feshness but if the last thing to go is power Quigg could do something and he 's fought much better competition - its just how much has he got left.

The nearer we get go the fight the more I fancy Quigg to win by a late stoppage. I actually think Carroll's corner will pull him out. I do think especially early Quigg wont have it all his own way but later on I think he will shed some ring rust and hurt Carroll late, resulting in his team stepping in to protect their man.

I'm edging Carroll due to Quigg being inactive but I think it will be a close one. Lack of power could be Carroll's downfall here I think. If he could bang I think he would be a big favourite

Quigg has really regressed I feel, he used to be a pressure fighter with sharp punches up close but now he seems to wing big wild overhand punches with no timing or accuracy and seems easier to hit than ever, timing might be right for Carroll
