No one is forgetting he has a diagnosed medical condition. We all know he has and that is the entire point of this thread. The last time he won a World Title, he sank into a huge depression.
Incidentally, did anyone spot the glaring mistake Fury made in one of his remarks during the interview?
He was well aware of it which I thought was interesting. A few other people have made comments in interviews alluding to expecting Tyson to be down for a while.. Ben Davison etc. I think the good thing is he understands his own mind enough now to know how to handle it. After Klitschko he was clearly a very misguided young man with no idea how to handle those feelings. It's great news for boxing that Tyson knows how to handle his demons as he won't go off the rails. We all want to see Joshua vs Fury at their best (assuming they both win their summer fights) so it would be a terrible shame if Tyson went off the rails like he used to.
He has stated before that he falls into a deep depression after a big fight so I'm not surprised at his demeanor
I could say that if you can't be bothered watching it then I can't be bothered telling you but I won't do that. He said that he was the undisputed champion and had all the belts after beating Klitschko. Even if you put to one side my point in another thread that there hasn't been an undisputed Heavyweight Champion since Mike Tyson, then what Fury is saying is still incorrect. The WBC belt was not on the line when he fought Klitschko.
That's true, the mighty Stiverne and Arreola were fighting over that one, Stiverne may go down as a worse belt holder than Charles Martin when all is said and done
I don't know how much would be a post win down and how much would be a bit of a cringe at doing this morning and cosy sofa chats. The impression I got was that this was something he was doing to please his lovely mrs and as such, something to be endured rather than enjoyed. Also, don't discount that Fury may be feeling talked out after the many hours of media he's done.
just saying sometimes it’s easy to forget with stuff like this. I’ve a friend with bipolar and I often still ask him what’s wrong etc when he’s going through a lull.
