Not easy to forget when it's been shoved down your mouth at every given opportunity. It's the thousands that suffer in silence with mental health issues and can't get the help they need who I feel for.
Just a bad day. He said he doesn't be right for a couple of weeks after a fight. Paris suggested it was an ordeal getting him there and she's used to that behaviour. As said it's good that he understands why he's feeling the way he does and he mentioned that he needs to keep eating healthy and training every day. I'm sure he will as he has done for two years straight now. Paris tweeted that she was delighted to be on the show so he's taken one for the team. He has a good woman there and she deserves her moment in the spotlight for supporting Tyson during chaotic times. I'm happy for the both of them who overall both seem to be in a great place. The ITV show is a good watch and tonights episode should be great viewing if it includes Wilder rematch.
Agreed. As I said earlier in the thread, the important thing is he understands why he feels like he does and what to do about it. That's the difference now compared to 2015.
Haven’t watched it or read most of the thread but I feel that you’ve got to be extra careful with Fury now, all these performances and appearances can be overwhelming and you start to feel like a performing m0nkey I’ve heard people say in the past. Obviously for someone with mental health problems that’s not great, I hope those close to him are picking and choosing selectively as opposed to just pushing him out in to the public at any opportunity.
Think his brother Shane is pretty much on top of it. After Wilder 1 he was on with Piers Morgan straight away on the Monday morning. He hasn't even done a sit down with IFL yet and he's very pally with Kugan. He was probably mandated to do this interview as part of his documentary agreement. Very unheard of in recent times for someone like Fury to only do 1 interview in almost 2 week since a fight. Think he's being managed very carefully by his family.
What some of the people on this forum don't realize is how mentally taxing preparing for a fight like Fury has is like 12 weeks in the gym training to hurt another fighter, is not a normal job, away from your family sparring brutal rounds is blood sweat and tears. When your preparing for somebody who could kill you like Wilder its even more intense and the come down wont be quick. Thats why I am surprised he is rushing into the rematch, If I was Tyson I'd find a injury etc, and allow himself some mental time off to stay positive within himself. The promoters nor fans are not the ones getting hit in the face in the ring by 16-20 stone men.
I think he's got the two fight thing in his head and he has tunnel vision. Two more fights and out. Two more gruelling training camps and retirement as an ATG with tens of millions in the bank. In his head, it's his last challenge.
For selfish reason I don't like this 2 fight talk then out. If he wins his next two and convincingly he will still be in peak. I would like to see some title defences and prize fights before he starts to decline. I would def like him to fight Dyllian White in Feb 2021
He'll fight more than two times. I'm sure of that. He may have a year out but he'll be back. He seems to be a short term goal type of guy.
The significance of the two fights is that fulfills his top rank deal. He's then, potentially, the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world holding every belt and a free agent...
Pudding Whyte would be punching fresh air all night and would end up in the same state as Pudding Chisora at the Excel Arena.
I just think back to a minority of people on this board whom for quite some time pushed the agenda that Fury wasn’t really mentally ill, that it was all fabricated and an act to deflect from the PEDs stuff, the poor taste comments etc. Where was the proof of this bipolar diagnoses they said...like you get some kind of certificate when you get diagnosed. ‘He should prove it or he’s a liar’. I’m not one of those people who’s interested in celebrities and stuff like that, but I’m genuinely chuffed for the lad. The buzz from watching him sing in the ring after smashing Wilder was just fantastic. Watching him self sabotage was quite a shame to see after that Klitschko win, but to watch him shift that weight, get his focus back, manage his mental health better and have two great fights with Wilder...I’m just proper made up for him. He’s a massively flawed individual, but he’s a very inspirational one. I’m glad that he’s crossed over to the mainstream and he’s getting the appreciation he deserves.
I thought he came across really genuine and sincere. He isn’t your everyday bloke, that’s what resonates with people. It certainly does with me. Yes, perhaps there is a bit more intelligent PR etc but for me the main difference is Fury is no longer yearning for the adulation of the British public and is more comfortable in his own skin and it’s great to see
