Not the best fight, thought he'd fight someone top 50 at least.

Disappointing.. Hrgovic is way beyond this level given his age and experience. He has no business to be still fighting bums. Unless you're in the business of ducking better fights.

Doesn't look good that he's taking such a soft touch instead of Bakole.

He won't learn anything from this fight, waste of his time fighting such an over matched opponent.

I dont think for a fighter with only 11 fights that it is terrible.
He is facing a 26-3-0 fighter 20 KOs.

Im not for or against but about fairness and looking at fight 11 of the top Ring mag HWs it doesnt look a bad match up in comparison to many imo

    Fury - McDermott 25-6-0
    Joshua - Gavern 26-19-4
    Whyte - Mrazek 9-46-6
    Wilder - Nichols 4-2-0
    Ortiz - Pineda 22-9-1
    Ruiz - Bloomfield 9-6-1
    Povetkin - Bostice 37-11-1
    Parker - Williams 36-13-2
Hunter - Williams 15-7-2 (not the same Williams as above)
    Kownacki - Smith 12-9-3
    Rivas - Louis 4-1-0

Hrgovic is good, but Forrest is not an easy fight for most people. He is 26-3 with 20 knockouts, he fights at 220-30, is a southpaw, and he has good stamina. If Hrgovic beats Forrest easily, I'll be impressed by Hrgovic. I'm sure that Hrgovic's team has seen Forrest fight on video, and I'm sure Hrgovic has faced a lot of southpaws in his amateur career, so they probably know what they're doing, but for most heavyweights, this would be a dangerous fight.

    Hes not yet 28.
Now admittedly he is in his later 20s at 27, and turned pro later than some of the HWs you mentioned, but HWs tend to peak at a later age and fight on much later like Povetkin/Pulev for example.
Not everyone in the Ring top 10 has been a champion that I mentioned. Wilder wasnt a champion at that age. Ortiz didnt contest a title at that age, or Whyte. Kownacki is 30, Ruiz didnt win a world title until 29, so I dont read too much into the age when a fighter turned pro a bit later than some of the others you mentioned

Dangerous fight? He was KO'ed by the light punching Gerald Washington and shut out vs Hunter, neither of them seemed to find him that dangerous.

I don't see Hrgovic having any problems with Forrest, I expect a pretty straight forward KO in the earlier rounds.

I know. I didnt say otherwise.
Im talking about the Ring mags top 10 HWs 11th fight when compared to another fighters.
Wilder and Joshua won Olympic medals.
You get all defensive when you see Whytes name mentioned. I can imagine this forum effects your sleep.
Whyte may not have had much amateur pedigree. It doesnt mean other fighters have to step up sooner or he has to be held back. It is down to the individual and I just highlighted who each fought in their respective 11th fight when looking at who Hrgovic is fighting, who in turn is a bigger challenge than who Whyte fought, likely due to the amateur pedigree

True for a typical 11 fight novice facing such an opponent would be pretty standard. But Hrgovic has beaten name opponents in Molina, Johnson and Mansour and done so convincingly, so it's pretty clear this is a mismatch.

While padding your record is fine, he had the opportunity to fight a better opponent and shied away from it, which doesn't look good. At some point he needs to fight another young prospect or contender if he's to stand out among the crowd of rising prospects and contenders and Bakole would of been a good test and if he did better than Hunter then it would of made a statement.

So while there really is nothing wrong with Forrest as an opponent, it does feel like a missed opportunity. I doubt many other prospects will be queuing up to fight Hrgovic.
