That Hearn is throwing Parker away from the interesting opponents so the UK names get better choices? It was half tongue in cheek, but definitely not sarcastic.

I started the year hoping this, but with the start and the talk so far I will actually be shocked if it is a good year. It feels like Matchroom have set up for Parker to either win matches with little credibility, or have big matches which he is expected to lose (Hunter/Hrgovic/Usyk?) or at least increase the credibility of SOMEONE before putting them in with AJ or another Hearn fav.

Fa has been in Wilders training camps of recent he had to learn something sparring and training with those guys . Parker seems to struggle with big guys ,this is a tough one even if Fa is limited we’ve seen Parker look poor in fights he shouldn’t, domestic dust ups are always more intense . Winters is short 210 pounder ,that’s not a good fight to use and Parker got rocked so what from what I remember .Another fight Parker looks bad in but wins Unanimous decisions I see .

His manager will only put him in for big money.

Fa should take the fight. His career needs a boost and he's been pretty poor since turning pro.

We've seen him fight since those camps and get dropped against Guinn and lose rounds against an even worse opponent in his most recent fight.

Debateable, some of his most devastating wins are against guys Fa's size. Fa isn't AJ talent or power level, and doesn't have a great chin by the looks of it.

Winters hit Parker flush, yes - but it didn't hurt him. The cut phased him, but that didn't do Winters much good in the long run. Winters looks to punch harder than Fa, and takes a punch better, and stays more effective into later rounds. I actually am not sure that Fa can offer a lot more than Winters did and probably reflected in the fact that Winters was ranked higher than Fa in boxrec despite having already taken losses.

Fa's footwork is terrible for the style he likes to fight with, and his stamina is also terrible. He has an average jab and throws the occasional straight right in the early rounds when he isn't tired. It'll be similar to the Parker v Dimitrenko fight if this fight gets made.

His mate Hemi Ahio would be the better prospect if he had Fa's size. Having said that, if they did fight, I'd back Ahio to beat Fa.

Winters gasses out fairly quickly and lacks any real threat compared to a 6”7 giant who has defeated Parker in the past . I see a troublesome fight . Winters is slick for the first 5 rounds but you really can’t compare a Fa who’s a real heavyweight going into an opponent he knows vs a cruiser weight at almost 40 and , I just can’t buy that one . Could be a much more competitive fight then most are going to assume .

Regardless of who promoted him, what are the chances he'd have fought either of them so soon after being beaten by them?

Hunter has called out Jo and said it's an easy night. Says he has slow feet and no gas tank. Much more entertaining fight than Fa.

I feel like you are twisting or misinterpreting what I am saying.

I am saying Hearn is cockblocking Parker from fighting anyone credible, I've not said he's protecting Joshua or Whyte from him... I'm saying that somehow his preferred fighters seem to be able to get decent opponents but Parker is being given **** ones, almost like he's keeping Parker away from guys he'd rather reserve as options for the other guys.

Fair point but Chisora wasn't too bad a opponent to climb up the ladder with. I'm not sure if Chisora was Hearns doing but yeah, like you say -we really need more of that calibre and better.

Parker is young enough to come back.

Hearn gave an interview the other day, talking boxing in general. Interestingly though, he did speak about a lot of the problems with making a good fight usually comes from the boxers team, and not the boxers themselves. Which name did he bring up in a passive aggressive way? David Higgins.
