I wouldn’t be surprised if George talks him out of going right into the rematch and convinced him to take a tune up or two.
I don't think Forearm was serious. He's 71 and a multimillionaire. I believe Foreman was just talking. I'll believe it when I see it. But if he does it will make the fight bigger.
Best bet, he is never going to be able to implement a Floyd type style at this stage in his career anyway. It's all wrong when a midget Malteser trains a heavyweight anyway. Floyd needs to leave the big boy stuff to the big boys. The **** just loves the limelight. Wilder may as well try and transform into even more of a wrecking ball. Fit strong, relentless. He certainly cant outbox Tyson so he may as well just go out on his shield whilst putting up a WORTHY fight.
All true, but I just don't think Lewis has the analytical brain of a trainer, only a fighter. Plus Lewis is a massive twat and narcissist, so he'll more be concentrating on making sure he gets as much of the limelight as possible. On the flip side, his narcissism is partly why he's such a great fighter.
I love George, but I don't think he'd be a good trainer. He did so much wrong, he's lucky he had an iron chin.
George is a good idea for a few reasons. 1. Personality fit. George is a southerner like Wilder. And a religious man, like Wilder. George suffered a devastating loss, and made the greatest comeback of all time. 2. Foreman believes in a good jab. Wilder needs to learn to use the jab. 3. Marketing. People love Big George. The Foreman angle will sell more tickets. This is the main reason why Big George is a good idea.
Didn’t Wilder give Fury a load of stick for making changes to his training. How the tables have turned, only this is much more ridiculous. This is highly unlikely to change anything.
George learnt to box clever in his comeback knowing you can't just rely on the power punch. Most intelligent in ring boxer. He will get his ba!Lance right, hands up, hit to the body, aim for the chest not the head.
Lewis says he took a lot of pointers from George during his career and even going back to listen to his commentary of his fights, he said he would do the things he heard George talk about hen he got to his next fight
I don't hate him, just think he's a bit of a dick, but I'm old enough to remember his interviews. Most boxing fans on here will simply see his fights on YouTube and none of his personality, but he was never a particularly well liked or popular when he was active. I think he'd suck as a trainer personally. His mental makeup is to be the centre of attention and the super star, not create one.
You claimed he's a narcissist. That's a pretty bold claim to make for someone you don't hate. Especially since he's not, not even in the slightest
