Canelo Alvarez vs Billy Joe Saunders is set for May 2nd in Las Vegas

first fight was a draw and I know everyone uses the term robbery very loosely here. but the first fight being a draw was bad decision for sure. if you want to give canelo fight 2 sure go ahead I wont complain but Canelo didn't even earn a draw in the first fight.

 

Then what are you doing in a thread where the two fighters being discussed popped dirty.

I take it you also dislike RJJ, Klitschko, Fury, Povetkin and many other fighters on the basis that they failed tests?

 

A draw in the first fight can be easily argued. Canelo won rounds 1-3 and 10-12.

 

Manny is only old in boxing years....Sort of like how a dog ages

 

meh might as well say that about any bout if we are bending over backwards. let's give fighters rounds they clearly didn't win.

 

Can only see this fight going one way. As a UK fight fan this is a totally unbiased opinion because I like good fighters, leave the flags at the rope's. Will say Saunders has fast hands and is no amateur.

But see a few posts about how good he was against lemieux. Did box very well but honestly done see him having the power to hurt canelo. Different class of opponent

Only have too look back to the GGG fight's to see the chin on canelo. Plus can counter or fight on the front foot.

Not really, Canelo landed the harder cleaner punches in those rounds, he also fought his fight. For example, in rouds 1-3 he was outboxing GGG and making him miss, and in rounds 10-12 Canelo outslugged him, still landing the cleaner harder punches.

Scoring a fight consists a lot more than who landed the most punches in that round.

Maybe the first 3-4 rounds. After that Lara felt Canelo's body attack and he likely knew he would get KTFO if he didn't run.

As for the fight its brilliant. Mad props to canelo

 

There are solid reasons to believe what you say can and will happen,,,however winning a decision against Canelo is not likely unless he wins 10 rounds clearly.

 

Meh hard to call it personally it was a difficult fight to score I had it 7-5 Canelo Lara did well early but after a body shot in like the 4th round Lara opted to run his ass off the rest of the fight literally about facing and running to the other corner. Dude was playing pitty pat while Canelo was beaten his body.

 

Lara put some nice work in early doors alot was taken out by canelo's guard. After that Lara got marshalled round the ring. Did land a few good hooks here and there but conelo's high low statigy left him well backed up unconfident in high or low guard. Lara fought well tho no push over
