That close up of the skin showing through the palm area of the glove hadn’t given me anything to wonder about outside of why they would lace em so loosely that the palm would show through. But that close up shows what appears to be fingers curled in the palm area, outside of the finger sleeves. That does not look like a flat palm. I’m no wilder fan, but that really looks like his knuckles are covered by palm leather only, that’s bare knuckle fighting.

I think he's doing this on purpose because of the number of occurrences. I don't see much of an advantage to it though, other than longer reach for range finding. He's punching with the fist, but it's the side. It's a slapping punch. He could break his hand like this. Now, if he somehow managed to position his fist so that the front of it would be where the laces are, that would be bad. I still don't like seeing any shenanigans like this though.

This guy is a dumbass though. In that particular video, it looks like the thumb is torn on the glove. He's creating the narrative that the referee complained about it because the thumb wasn't there.
Look at the close up at 2:50 of the video. Tell me that doesn’t look like fingers curled in the palm area. Now look at that bump above the laces where there should be no bumps and it looks exactly like a thumb right where it would wrap around the fist when punching. Also, look at the pics where he has his hands raised, his right hand looks half open in the rest position while his right hand looks like he’s clenching it into a fist. Tell me if I’m wrong in what I’m seeing.
