Agreed. His only impressive wins really have been Szpilka and Washington both guys known for having glass mandibles. He looked poor vs Kiladze, getting stunned and bloodied, looked poor vs Martin who gave him a close fight and even a shot Arreola went the distance and couldn't miss landing almost 300 punches. He's fun to watch because he just plows forward and throws until you drop but there's really no craft behind his boxing, but people got distracted by the fact he's entertaining and forgot he really shouldn't be struggling like he was vs the level of opponents he was facing if he was to succeed at a higher level. Turns out he couldn't even succeed at this level.

Helenius hit's hard, his issue is more landing that power than a lack of power. I don't think Kownacki's chin is bad, but I don't think it's as good as it was made out to be. Washington can't punch, Kiladze isn't even a genuine heavyweight but he buzzed him, Arreola used to be a puncher but is shot, was light for their fight and has only stopped one guy in the last 6 years, his power isn't what it was. Martin's power has only been proven vs journeymen unlike Helenius who's stopped Peter and Brewster. Helenius is the hardest puncher he's faced to date and we saw what happened. So yes I agree Kownacki's chin is a bit suspect against a proven puncher, because he literally has no defence ,any big hitter is going to cause him problems, especially a taller one than will walk him into that power.
Yeah we need more Body Builders with Glass Jaws like Joshua who can only win when he's in a Hearn controlled environment and fully JUICED like Popeye on his Spinach!!!

The one thing keeping me semi-interested in Kownacki was how well he could take a shot. That's what fighters like Kownacki and Baldomir and Librado Andrade etc have going for them. Once their chin's gone the puzzle's solved and they quickly fade into irrelevance. Technically he was a mess, and someone who always seemed to take more punishment than he should've done relative to his level of competition. I've compared him stylistically to Arreola, but honestly he wasn't even as technical as Arreola. Nips was no ring craftsman, but at least he knew how to take a backwards step every now and again, and not just mindlessly plough forward eating endless punches just to land his own. Kownacki is also even more of a slob than Arreola, and coupled with how much damage he ships I figure he's going to go shot very soon.
If Joshua fought any of these guys in the top 30 in NYC I'd put all my money on Joshua to lose! His Super-Powers just don't exist outside of a Hearn controlled environment but we only have a sample of one... The Morbidly Obese Blob destroyed Joshua in that 1 example!! Will there be another? I doubt Hearn will ever let Joshua fight outside of the UK or Saudi Arabia again...
Surely nobody bought into the Kownacki hype that much, look at what Martin was able to do to him ! Al haymon have an absolute mare recently.
I think you're right, Arreola would at least try and crudely slip shots to get inside, he sucked at it, but at least he tried and he's at least tuck his chin down. Kownacki in comparison is upright, chin in the air and just plows forward in a straight line. He makes Arreola look crafty in comparison, lol. Kownacki would do well to get his weight down, I think he looked his best vs Szpilka at 242lbs, he was quicker on his feet and able to get inside quicker without taking so much back like he does now.
Some people did and had him in their top 10, I remember that from a thread a while back. I remember debating with people why he shouldn't be in the top 10.
