Zach Parker born 06/06/1994 is a 6'0 Super Middleweight with a 15-0 11 KO's record. Born in Swadlincote, Derbyshire and fighting out of Woodville, Derbyshire, United Kingdom. Where the hell did this guy come from? To be perfectly honest, aside from seeing his name a few times on Boxrec, I had no idea who this kid was, but damn, I sat up and took notice fairly quickly. He was announced as a reserve in the Super Middleweight World Boxing Super Series, I pretty much dismissed him off hand as another British level nobody that would be found out in his first step up. Well I was wrong, I should have watched some of this kid before stereotyping him. He from the outset made quite an impact, by utterly destroying Luke Blackledge in one round, who went the distance with Skoglund and lasted 10 rounds with Callum Smith. While yes, Rocky Fielding also stopped him in 1, with a rabbit punch in a brawl, Zach beat a far more battle hardened, more seasoned version. He's also racked up KO wins over Bradley Pryce and Adasat Rodriguez, who he KO'd in 2, whereas it took Sweet Hands Caleb Plant 8 long rounds. Those half way decent KO's aside, its his skill set that's really impressed me, he the picture of calm, works well behind his jab, and has pretty good control of range, his defense is sound, he slips and rolls with a lot of shots at close range, nice punch placement, using decent angles, is accurate, has impressive timing and is a precise counter puncher, he's a solid all rounder. He was immediately snatched up and signed by Sauerland after his destruction of Blackledge. So we'll probably be seeing a lot more of this kid real soon. So check out Zach savagely cracking some heads. So will he make an impact at Super Middleweight, and be yet another in a long line of British greats in the division, will he prove to be nothing special, or somewhere in the middle?
Doesn't matter Caleb Plant will give him a sweet Tennessee canvass coma when ever he decides to head over here.
Sweet Hands is screwed the moment he gets in the ring with someone who knows how to cut off the ring.
His fight against Williams was a misstep, mostly due to an arm injury. But amazing performance today, With a hell of a KD that led to the KO in the 11th. Now that's what I saw in him. As long as he can stay injury free, he might make an impact at 168, at least on the European level. This content is protected
Swadlincote eh ? Well, he's no Jack Bodell is he ? I've watched Zach a couple of times on shows in Walsall. Strong, powerful lad but I hate how still his head is. Better lads will find him easy to hit. The curse of ticket sellers in the Midlands is that they get it too easy. Some really good local fights out there, Craig Wilshee, ( If he's still interested ), Andrew Robinson, Lennox Clarke or Tommy Langford. Shame those fights are unlikely to get made.
I agree , he looks pretty good as you say,, solid all around. Be interesting to see when they decide to move him up in competition regularly
That was a breakout fight against Murdock. I feel if Canelo beats Billy Joe, he'll vacate the title and Parker will get a vacant shot against Danny Jacobs or Erik Bazinyan.
