Manny sure had some kind of character to get straight up from that kind of heavy knockdown, beat his chest and go right back out to center ring like that. I wouldn’t ever want to deduct from either of those men. Legendary battle.

Nothing per se. Mostly he just sucks.

Could have something to do with having personal friends take dives, and signing to fight those with documented medical problems.

    Either is a fine answer.

Something happened and he went into the fight lacking the skills he needed

I think that’s the basis of what was wrong that night

He must’ve mistakenly left his skills at home before he left for the fight

(Either that or he never had enough skills to begin with )

Nothing was wrong with Wilder, Fury executed the better game plan and that's pretty much it.

Theres nothing wrong with Wilder, its the fans who are problematic. Wilder goes in there to kill or be killed. Whether he wins or loses, its almostba forgone conclusion hes gonna take a beating because of his lack of skill, yet he never kicks it in. He fights until he's saved by his corner, the ref, or is put out cold or his opponent is put out cold. Ya he got his ass kicked, bad. But there wasn't an ounce of quit in him, he has no idea what a white flag or towel is.

Fury really impressed me. It was the first fight I saw of his that he actually put his weight behind his punches, and ge did it extremely well. He was getting every ounce of his weight and putting it into forward momentum right behind all of his straight shots, he even sat down on some shots iirc. He was the better man that night and the first night. But no one should be surprised that Wilder got outboxed, that's more common than a cold. Its just that this time he got outmoded by a 6'9 271 lbs. behemoth that was actually throwing venom for the first time in his life. But he was dead-set on leaving that ring in a body bag or on a stretcher. He shouldn't be disparaged for that.

People go on about his comments in regards to killing another fighter. He walked the walk and was clearly willing to die with the trigger pinned melting the barrel.

You owe me a new keyboard... just spat my coffee out laughing!

There was nothing wrong with Wilder, well other than fighting less than stellar opposition who didn't prepare him. That and a 270lb man imposing his size on him and making him fight backwards.

Why was he backing up the last few rounds with a look of abject terror in his eyes? Why'd he end up retreating to the ropes, shelling up and getting stopped due to not firing anything back? Wilder had quit by the fourth or fifth. He had no fight left in him.
