Errrrrrrrrr... None? That was the event that caused Foreman to lose his passion, confidence and take over a year out of the ring. Also yeah... José Roman is one of Foreman's best wins.
    I refer you to these...

Both Swarmers, both HOFers, and more technically proficient ones at that, and Foreman toppled them in less than 4 rounds total. Foreman devoured come forward fighters. It's why Frazier had more success when he moved back, it's why Ali did the same, Petralta ect. It's foolish, and wrong to pretend otherwise.
    Yeah, that's why he loses...

You make him sound akin to a Durán or Napoles. He was a swarmer through and through. He attacked, he smothered, he out-worked and he pressured everyone. He could counter, he didn't base his style around it.
No. It's not. Not when one style works against a fighter and the other doesn't. Moving backwards, even for fringe contenders, was more effective than coming forward. It's actually not even debatable.

Rocky isn't gonna be able to land punches going backwards, it's not what he did. He'd get throw around and if he tried to act cute, he'd get hit by shots he doesn't see coming and goes sleep. You see the uppercuts that Foreman landed on Frazier? Picture them as Marciano dips down trying to smother Foreman, and also what happens when Foreman shoves Marciano out of range?
I think you need to watch more Lyle then... "Conventional" footwork, is fundamentally sound footwork. Lyle could actually manoeuvre himself around a ring. Marciano plodded and trodded about. Lyle threw his shots properly and

Watch him pick holes in Foreman's offence, off the ropes. His bear strength let him keep Foreman's arms out of position to land, along with his basic ability to dictate range, he easily had a better defence than Marciano.
Disagree, Lyle threw straight shots from an equal height with a reach that is much closer to Foreman's than Marciano's. Marciano could throw something with equal force, but not the same punch. His overhands would get smothered by Foreman's ridiculous strength, imo.

Yeah, but only because he was forced too. He obviously didn't wanna get KOed, not that it mattered.

Gowan Greg, you're the only reasonable one to pick Marciano, how come?

    Yep
Fr tho I think it's 50/50, I'm gonna go with Rocky's intangibles and argue his determination, chin and stamina carry him to a late stoppage
