Is Mark Breland the right man for the job? (disregarding the towel throw)

See this was along the lines I was entertaining. Most everyone thinks Wilder is uncoachable. Which I have no argument against that. But if Wilder can't learn and he has the same team as he has had for all these years, then could some responsibility belong with his trainers. For instance I'm quick to dismiss Joseph Parkers lack of progress as being the fault of his coach. But it also seems like Joseph hasn't made any innovations to his own game himself, but I still blame the coach.

Its Wilder. There is no right man for the job. Ive gotten the impression that Wilder isnt interested in learning and being a student of the sport. He wants yes men and he wants to do things his way, imo.

Hope Im wrong though and he does upgrade his team.

Lastly... the answer to this question is ultimately no. If he was the man for the job Wilder wouldnt be as unskilled as he is at this age and with this many fights.

If Breland has not won Wilders respect till now then he is not the right man for the job

If I was Breland I'd leave due to the disrespect Wilder showed. Every trainer interviewed has claimed they thought the fight should have been stopped and many have said a little earlier too.

The funny thing now is that Breland won't be throwing a towel in again and apparently neither will Deas. So that means nobody will stop a fight from Wilder's corner ever again.

With many great names of boxing and reknowned analysts defending Breland's decision to throw the towel, I think it is self-explanatory.

Yes, I think Breland is still the right man for the job. Even Wilder took back his words and still keeping him. But whether Wilder can improve more than his current level is another question.

Wilder was winning every fight and was favored to beat Fury in the rematch by plenty of people here.

Wilder was even starting to get some respect around here after KOing Ortiz and KO1ing Breazeale.

I want to remind everyone that Wilder made Breazeale look like some homeless guy off the street, while Breazeale was a live opponent against AJ.

Team Wilder had no reason to change what they were doing -- it was working. I don't see much reason to judge Breland or Deas harshly for Wilder's long streak of wins.

However, now that they've failed, they have every motivation to shake things up and see what changes can be made.

I like Breland, but it's true he might not be right for Wilder, likewise with Deas, who I dislike. I think Wilder's next match should give us better indication of whether Wilder can add some new tricks to his game with his current team. If not, maybe he should switch things up.

No he wasn't. AJ pounded his face in for seven rounds. I struggle to remember if Breazeale even tried to land a punch

Breazeale also staggered Wilder a little bit, for the two minutes that they fought
