I’m not a fan of AJ, but he’s not that bad and Fury is not that good. Imo AJ will land pretty easily and if the fight is close AJ will win on cards anyway.

He started getting up immediately. In any event, whether you want to call them "flash" or not, they were not devastating knockdowns, he got up well in time, and was never in danger.

You are just trying to discredit a proven great fighter. Good luck to you, because Fury isn't going away.

As for AJ coming in under 240lbs, AJ's 240lbs isn't like Wilder's 230lbs. AJ would build up his legs, for one. The lower weight would make him more mobile and give him more tank which would be the more sensible option against a fighter like Fury who has a lot of tank. Fury for his own part wouldn't be coming in above 260lbs against Joshua. He needs that mobility also, otherwise he's just a big target for someone who knows how to hit

 

hahhahaha he’s def not great nor he’s proven. His level of competition is very low , so in order for him to become great he needs longevity , but I don’t think we’ll see that from fatso.

 

maybe Usyk can give him some trouble if he stays elusive?? doubtful tho.. but I think he's the only hope in todays HW division to beat him.

 

Funny, too, that many were likening him to a fine wine after the Pulev fight just one year prior to Düsseldorf. The "shot" talk only started to creep in after Jennings showed some real moxie and gave him some relative issues a few months later (the Fury-Wallin fight, myopically used as a stick with which to beat Fury in this thread, was itself a similar case of an unfancied guy exceeding expectations against a complacent favorite), then it proliferated after the Fury-Klitschko bout as a comfort blanket for those mourning Wlad's defeat.

Before listening to anybody associated with Team AJ, it's important to understand where they're coming from.
Here's a sample of the mythology of AJ minions :

Hearn: 'Ruiz Jr is 6ft 19st and very fast. His hand speed and technique is almost unheard of.'

That's an actual quote from the puppet master of AJ, fed to the mindless 'market' that go get their girlfriend's tit signed by the manufactured idol.

In the real world, AJ got TKO'd by a short, obese false HW with below average power, who came in on short notice.

The idea an obese fighter is 'very fast' is laughable. The idea Ruiz has unheard of hand speed and technique is up there with the greatest pile of bull**** ever spoken by a promoter. If they're worried about Ruiz's foot and handspeed, it just goes to show what Wilder would likely have done to AJ.

However, he will make the bodybuilder quit before the 9th round

My money would be on a tko in the 7th or 8th round

AJ will be out of his depth

He will start ok, but Fury will come on strong and bully him by the 3rd round after a bit of feeling out by both guys

AJ can punch and he has shown decent skills/athleticism, I just can't see past Tyson

Before the second Wilder Fight I would of made Fury a 70/30 favourite over AJ

Now I would say it's 90/10

 

This is eerily similar to all the posts calling Joshua the greatest heavyweight of all time and how he'd roll through Ali, Foreman , Tyson etc.

 

Fury's mobility at 270 is still better than AJ's at 230ish. Doubt we will ever see Fury come in much under the weight he was at for Wilder 2. AJ can win the fight - in a very specific way, I suspect - but all the preparation issues lie with him and his team of sports scientists. Too light he gets worn down, too heavy he gets worn out...
