For the 2nd day in a row I have heard the phrase 'I feel like I went 10 rounds with Mike Tyson' on a TV show here in Britain. He's been retired for 15 years now. Ali and Tyson are clearly the most famous boxers of all time. Who was more famous at their peak and more famous today?
I don't know because I wasn't alive during Ali's time. But going '10 rounds with Mike Tyson' I hear every week from middle aged women (say, after a hard days work or a messy night out) who don't know boxing still exists.
I think Ali's name is more famous but more people would have seen Tyson fight cause he's more recent.
I think we can all agree they are the two names that will be the top of folklore for many years to come
