You'd be ever so wrong. Jesus Christ. Durán beats the **** outta him. No contest, it'd be an awesome fight but there's only one winner. Durán's infighting and grappling would drastically cut Pryor's workrate, and his power and own workrate would hurt Pryor down the stretch. I reckon an accumulation stoppage is most likely. Argüello couldn't miss with his right hand... Imagine what Tommy would do.
Probably 3rd for me. JCC is the clear number 1, Cervantes would be my second. I can’t have Kosta over Pryor personally. Shame he never got to fight Leonard but I don’t see him beating a prime Ray anyway.
Have to agree with this. Can’t see how you can favour him over Hearns. The right hand and length of him would have made it a painful night for Aaron.
I'd say Barney Ross is the clear number 1. I'd put Chávez at 2, Loi at 3, Cervantes at 4 with Tszyu at 5. Benítez may take #6. Pryor's résumé is behind these, imo.
Well, I said I have Pryor at #12 h2h in the opening post, here's who I have ahead of him on my all time p4p h2h list: 15. Thomas Hearns 14. Roberto Duran 13. Sugar Ray Leonard 12. Aaron Pryor 11. Tyson Fury 10. Mike Tyson 9. Ken Norton 8. Salvador Sanchez 7. George Foreman 6. Marvin Hagler 5. Sugar Ray Robinson 4. Larry Holmes 3. Floyd Mayweather JR 2. Joe Frazier 1. Muhammad Ali
Aside from the glaring errors in this list, why the **** is Norton above Tyson? Sugar Ray Robinson below Mayweather is laughable.
Robinson fought under more or less the same rules. Mayweather loses to Robinson, by KO, in 6, and isn't even his best win. Remember the last time Mayweather fought someone who was just as athletic as him? And looked awful? Picture that, 10 fold. Remember when Mayweather fought someone who was comfortable throwing combinations and stalking him at a high pace? And looked awful? Picture that, 10 fold. Robinson was also MUCH bigger. Robinson beats him like a drum.
