I never saw this fight but I’ve heard some people over the years allude to it being somewhat of a robbery and feel Patterson should have gotten the decision. What do people here think ?

most people definitely feel he won both Quarry fights. The consensus on the Ellis match seems to be divided among fans
I have no problem with Patterson edging both fights against Quarry, but I have Ellis winning the fight against Patterson. Floyd simply "fell asleep" in several rounds and did almost nothing letting Ellis shade the vital swing rounds. I think a lot of people were let astray because of Howard Cosell´s pro Patterson commentary.
