Tyson Fury says a "holy hand" brought him back from his 12th round knockdown against Deontay Wilder.
Tyson Fury has named the hardest hitter he has faced and it isn't Deontay Wilder.

Wilder put Fury on the canvas twice in their first drawn fight but Fury got the better of the American with a TKO in the rematch to win the WBC's heavyweight title.

That made Fury a two-time champion following his 2015 defeat of long-reigning champion Wladimir Klitschko and it's the Ukrainian, nicknamed Dr Steelhammer with 53 knockouts in 64 wins, who gets the nod from Fury in terms of power.
"I've felt the power (of Deontay Wilder). Ain't so bad. Ain't so bad," Fury told World Boxing News as debate continues over who is the biggest puncher in the game.

"He can't be the biggest puncher in history because he couldn't knock the Gypsy King out, could he?

"I took his best shot flush on the chin and I got back up. He punches hard. But I've never been hit by the likes of someone like Earnie Shavers. I didn't get hit by George Foreman and I didn't get hit by Rocky Marciano or any of those top guys. I didn't get hit by them, so I can't comment.

"So to say it's the biggest punch in history, I'm not really sure because I didn't get hit by all the guys in history.

Tyson Fury taunted Deontay Wilder about the American's inability to knock him out despite being put on the canvas twice.
"But, you know, I don't think he punches harder than Wladimir Klitschko. Wladimir has a massive knockout punch and won a lot more fights than Wilder has."

Fury did acknowledge that Wilder has an unusual dimension to his striking that makes him dangerous.

"Wilder, I don't think it's so much his power. It's the speed it lands at, which can be tricky when you don't see it coming," Fury told World Boxing News.

A bloodied Tyson Fury wins by unanimous decision over Otto Wallin in heavyweight fight in Las Vegas.
"But then again, even a guy who's got no knockout ratio, if he hits you and you don't see it coming, then he's going to put you down.

"But as for feeling punches in fights, I'm not familiar with it because I don't feel any punches when I'm in the ring because the adrenaline is flying high when you're in a fight. You don't feel the punches ever."

Fury now finds himself the subject of more doping speculation with the UK authorities saying they could revisit his 2015 case where the big Brit tested positive for nandrolone but blamed that on eating uncastrated wild boar meat.

Fury and Wilder are set for a third fight with the American triggering a rematch clause after his heavy defeat in Las Vegas in February.

There is general agreement in the sport that Fury needs to take on fellow British heavyweight Anthony Joshua, who holds the WBA, IBF and WBO belts, to find one true champion of the division.

DO YOU AGREE WITH FURY ABOUT W. KLITSCHKO PUNCHES HARDER THAN WILDER OR NOT?

Wilder is the most explosive heavyweight by far

He's not a Foreman Shavers thudding puncher. These types of punches rock & resonate your whole body.

This is why he KO's bum ass heavyweights who stand in front of him or plod onto him, they don't see it coming. Ortiz would have got the job done if he wasn't 50 years old unable to go 12 rounds solid. After 8 rounds Ortiz slows heavily and can't recover from the stingers Wilder lands.

Also take note that many punches Wilder has hurt his opponent with are palm strikes and forearm strikes to the side of the head. Very painful.

Charlie Z saw them punches coming so took them like a champ.

I'd rather get hit by a punch from Wilder that I can see coming than a Wladimir or AJ thudding steelhammer.

And if Wilder misses he falls over anyway so it's win win.

Fury is different to all of them. For his size he doesn't hit that hard but he comes at you all night long and works you over. Stamina and the natural size can't be overcome.

AJ will face the same fate as Wilder. Brutalization from Fury who is more of a yeti than a man.

Wilder has yet to KO a top 10 Ring Magazine rated contender in his prime. Who did he knock out? Yes--Wlad his harder that Wilder. He just didn't milk his belts with no names catching a plane to cash a check and get knocked out

Yes, Wlad punches harder than Wilder, but Wilder is more dangerous due to his recklessness.

Fury never really took a good punch from Wlad, so he can't really comment.

And yeah, Wlad's resume is better than Wilder's. But Wlad reigned for a decade -- his resume is one of the best ever. Better than AJ's and Fury's too.

Oh, Fury absolutely did take some hits, but they weren't the clean, flush hits that earned Wlad his KO % and decade-long reign.

Fury took one of Wilder's famed KO punches, but he never got an equivalent punch from Wlad.

Fury was dropped by a Bosnian Cab Driver in Pajkic and Cruiserweight Cunningham and wobbled all over the place by assorted cherry picked unknown guys they found at the Homeless Shelter!!

I,ve been saying that for ages. Wilder defo is not the hardest hitter of all time. He gets most of his knockouts with his tactics more than his power. Smaller reached opponent has to follow him round. They need to take the risk of closing the gap on him not really knowing when he,ll strike. Its the uncertainty and not seeing the punch that causes most of them. That and his level of competition/fighting guys tailor made for him.

Wilder hits hard. I still say klitchko hit harder tho. Its just that they use their power for different things. Wlad to control the opponent wilder to put their lights out. Pretty sure if wlad changed his style to just knock out guys...he,d have probably wiped out all of wilders list by k/o as well.

He fought both and beat both. So I'm take his word for it. Some fighters say that the fighter that they beat punches harder than the guy they lost to. Fury has no reason to lie.

Wlad fought better fighters in a more disciplined matter and had more tools to win instead of Wilder who lack Wlad's skills and just looked for the knockout.

So if you fight weak opposition and just look for the big punch you will look like the bigger puncher.
