    Imo...

    It was Marlon Starling.....

This man took souls...he caused mental disintegration...or top line fighters became gun shy....or he destroyed careers in 1 night.

Look at the honeyghan fight....lloyd trained like a demon...a devastating powerpuncher during his 3 and a half year reign..he went in during the 1st 4 rounds ..fighting hard....but as mike tyson put it on the british bbc commentary on youtube " ive never seen lloyd fight like this before.he seems fatigued.lloyd is not fighting to win this fight"....there was a slow motion ,arm punching quality to the usually rapid speedy honeyghan...and after he changed his strategy to stick and move become the cagy boxing he was already doomed.

Very oddly you saw the same thing over the first 5 rounds of the simon brown fight...starling boxed brilliantly..and brown seemed exhausted, slow, arm punches in slow motion....like honeyghan he seeemed "drugged"..brown though snapped out of the odd slumber.but the start cost him and he lost.

The yung kil cheung fight same thing for first 6 rounds...

Starling oddly turned his opponents in these fights into ,i dunno, sleepy slow motion arm punchers.

Marlon made these world class boxers suffer a loss of composure and confidence ....they lost the inner game...

Even the breland rematch...mark became very gun shy and impotent

Its very rare to see a brilliant defensive boxer do this to top level rivals consistently...yes marlon himself lost a few.

But he did it to guys like baret,Aquino and ayers too...

    Starling is a good call.

I would say Azumah Nelson deserves a mention. Iron will and determination.

They say he was a really nice, humble fella. Very religious guy.

Honeyghan and starling hated each other it was the most genuine grudge match ive ever seen worse than odlh-vargas or lewis-rahman...

Starling said before the fight...that honeygan a tough brash arrogant take no prisoners undefeated fighter (vaca 1 bs) would "want to be my friend after 6 rounds"

It seemed a very odd thing to say i thought.

Yet in the fight thats exactly what happened after 5 or 6 lloyd tried to pat starlings glove......it was eerie...starling than inflicted a cruel merciless beating...ending lloyds career for all intents and purposes...he was a zombie on rollerskates the rest if his boxing career never did he tey to brawl again

Marlon was a v intimidating boxer

Jolting Jeff Chandler. When he shook that right hand, his opponents trembled.
