Would be a great fight but really need to see more of Canelo at 168

Kessler on first thought, but Canelo could prove to be better eventually. I think most will pick with their heart here and choose Kessler as he was a G, but really this is a very hard fight to predict

Can't really judge Canelo at 168..... but Kessler was a superb fighter so he gets my pick.

Canelo on peds couldn't legit beat an old GGG twice, same GGG who people have called 'bumlovkin' for years.. yet he's beating a prime SMW athlete like Kessler lol .. Kovalev fight was a money grab & he was seconds away from losing to novice Yarde anyway.. guy has almost zero punch resistance these days & probably has more vodka floating around his veins than Kelly Pavlik on New Year's Eve

Kessler was no joke. I honestly haven't seen Canelo beat anyone close to being as good as Kessler AT 168 or above yet. Kovalev was **** to pieces.

If I was putting money on it I would take Kessler. He only lost to the best fighters of his era and was never an easy fight.

Aside from a shot Kov at 175, who has Canelo beaten above 160? He scurried out of the division rather than face a prime challenger. When he fought at 168, he chose the weakest challenger and ran away rather than fight a top challenger. Now he’s fighting BJS, a blown up MW.

I’m not going to speculate until I see Canelo beat a prime champion north of 160. Until that happens, he’s just a talented MW who cherry picks guys at higher weights.

Until Canelo deals with a super middleweight a few notches above the 'legendary' non-world champion Rocky from Stocky, I'm saying Kessler manhandles the ginger one. He had a Grade-A jab. How is Canelo meant to get past that? He didn't really manage to deal with a faded Kovalev's lead hand for 10 rounds, and Kessler's has a longer reach than the Krusher. Kessler had solid whiskers too.

Kessler no doubt whatsoever. And prime Kessler was not the guy who fought Froch or who was billy goat butted and octopus grabbed to death all night by that clown from Oakland.
