I was going to say Hearns. It never made any sense that a man of that size, with so much power, could effortlessly fight at welterweight [with same day weigh-ins!] - but then of course he didn't actally fight that much at the weight + wasn't even unbeaten.

It's kind of cheating because cruiser is a newish, somewhat lightly regarded, division, but, still, Holyfield - even though, he, again, didn't fight *that* many times at the weight + was wobbled at least once.

Y'know Hearns and Jackson lost, right? Yeah, the Hitman was well and truly an animal. Makes you think how good Leonard was, eh?

Anyways, my go-to would be Roy Jones Jr at 168. When he dismantled Toney, that was one of the greatest performances ever.

Ezzard Charles on form beats any other LHW in history. Don't @me.

Not a long list of people I'd pick over Robinson from the 14th Feb 1951.

obligatory mentions for Spinks at 175 [could very, very easily be 168 with current weigh-in rules, which is a disturbing thought], chavez at 140.

obligatory emphasis on "*look* unbeatable", since, of course, no-one ever is literally.

People are giving the TS grief over Thomas Hearns looking unbeatable at 147. I understand that he lost, but go watch the fights with Pipino Cuevas or Bruce Curry and come back and say the guy didn't look totally unstoppable. It took SRL at the height of his powers to barely get past Hearns.

Usyk looked pretty much unbeatable at cruiserweight.

I know Im not on topic but I would like to take advantage of this thread to say Foreman looked unbreakable at 257 pounds against Holy. In fact he didnt go down despite Holy was in its best shape and bombed him all night.

Mayweather at 130, Chavez and Duran at 135 , Morales at 122 even though many people think Barrera beat him, I think Morales underestimated him since Barrera was coming from defeats back to back.

I mean, he did nearly go down 3 times. I'm fairly certain a harder punching combination puncher would've put him down. The Louis/Tyson type.

Holyfield was in an amazing shape that night and as you know he tried to knock Foreman out with a combo of 20 punches at round 7.....Nothing !!!!
Holyfield could have dropped together at least 3 ranked HWs of today with all that blows...By now I convinced myself FOREMAN with all that weight and so full of Holy Spirit of Jesus he WOULDNT NEVER GO DOWN neither WITH Tyson, neither with Lewis, neither with Tua, neither with Lyle, neither with Ali, neither with ANYONE.. THAT wonderful NIGHT.
