Top 5-10 which is still a great achievement in the best division in boxing. The HW beasts that await Usyk are totally different animals to down in the cruisers, a far weaker division.

Other than Miller obviously, not many of the top heavies would take that kinda stuff because the chance of getting caught is waaaaay too high in this day and age.

Probably like haye hold a secondary title vs lesser challenges and cash out vs a legitimate champ like fury or joshua

Watch Holyfield on his heavyweight debut vs James Tillis and then compare it to Usyk’s v Witherspoon. Holyfield looked levels above Usyk. That said, I think Usyk can become undisputed world champion but my concern is that 360 amateur bouts, being injury prone and approaching his mid 30’s may well be catching up on Usyk. This Covid-19 situation combined with Joshua’s mandatory and a potential undisputed fight with Fury taking precedence could derail any aspirations and longevity at heavyweight completely.

Today, there is too much difference between cruizerweights and heavyweights in height, reach and weight. Usyk is a great boxer, he might win the title, maybe against Joshua like Ruiz did, but he won't hold title for long. At Holyfield's time it was possible because the heavyweight boxers were much smaller and physically weaker than they are today.

I just have a feeling about Usyk at Heavy. He looked a bit scrappy in his debut and Chisora is guna try put it on him so that will be interesting but I think he is a real class act. I can't see him beating Fury but I think he's good enough to negate the physical advantages of Joshua or a Wilder.

    Maybe.

Usyk is fighting AJ so the instant he loses everyone will say he doesn’t belong there ,we know that’s coming even though some know only certain guys will defeat him so that actually makes him a top 5 guy . It will be the same old story with AJ and another way to discredit a win he gets .

    Let’s just look .

    1. Klitschko to old coming of a loss. Wlad is better after losing
    2. Parker wasn’t allowed to clinch . He literally was trying to hold and hit ,even head butted AJ and landed a huge left hook
    3. Takam was stopped early ,he had blood in both eyes and his knees buckled in the process of AJ coming back with another huge shot .
    4. Povetkin was old .He has arguably just beat Hunter .
    5. Ruiz was to fat ,everyone said AJ couldn’t out box him , everyone said Ruiz was better heavier , everyone said AJ ran )

That’s at least 5 fights that everyone made excuses in ,now Usyk will be to small and then we’ll have to point out his HW wins to laugh this one off.

i give credit for AJ beating Klitschko...although i do think Fury's win over Klitschko was more impressive to be honest

The Top 10 and Top 20 HW will change substantially in 2 years. A whole series of great and big boxers go to the top. 2016 Olympics medal winners, Tony Yoka 6 "7, Joe Joyce 6" 6, Filip Hrgovic 6 "6, Ivan Dychko 6" 9, am. world champ Jalolov 6 "7, Ajagba 6" 6, Dubois 6 "5, Makhmudov 6" 5 1/2. These are all big guys and dangerous punchers, I believe most of them will be in the title fights, it won't be easy for A.J., Fury and Wilder to be with them, not to mention Usyk and the other lower heavyweights.

You don’t get more impressive with a stoppage. Fury was unable to impose on Wlad that’s why he didn’t get one ,Wlad was to strong and Fury knew he could only win on points from a very far distance. I don’t see how defeating Wlad in your 19 fight isn’t more impressive and not going past 7 rounds beforehand.

I mean i think outpointing Wlad in Germany (which many would think is quite rare) is impressive in its self
