So Fury can reach Marciano's balls, but Marciano Can't reach Fury's head?

Then why does he stand practically shoulder to shoulder next to Wlad and Wilder?
I mean on the eye test there is barely an inch in it.
Valuev was a giant next to Haye, Fury next to Haye just looked like a really big guy.

Seriously though Fury lies about his height, and Marciano was every bit of 5'11 despite that picture suggesting otherwise

Yeah, you could see the added weight really hampered Fury against Wilder.

Fury is a fraud. It took me a while to realize this. No this has nothing to do with the floppy glove or the wild boar controversey.

Fury was basically domestic level with his best wins being Steve Cunningham and Derek Chisora, who were c and b level at best. Both showed that a pressure fighter with a good overhand right could nail Fury and make him uncomfortable. Steve even floored him, but not only that he proved it wasn't a fluke and CONSISTENTLY landed at least 15 overhand rights (one of them landed flush beautifully and you saw the sweat explode like a water ballon off Fury's head).

Chisora had some success with his leaping left hook in their 1st fight (another punch Rocky was good at). Chisora looked very good in the 2nd using this punch and also landed several overhand rights along with good body work. He snapped Fury's head back and bullied him into the corner throughout the fight (fury didn't try to stand his ground or push back).

Another thing i noticed is Fury's uppercut is garbage. He tried using it on and off in tjese fights but it lacks snap and consistency. It sort of just exists and doesn't look good in combinations either. Against one of the best pressure fighters in the division, having a mediocre inconsistent uppercut, a pawing jab, and backing up in a straight line or into the ropes are all very poor methods for dealing with a strong cone forward guy. Chisora was even able to land a surprise glancing overhand right on fury DURING his pitter patter combination and once again easily backs him into the ropes:

    6:35 to 6:46

And even when Fury does manage to land a decent uppercut, Chisora responds IMMEDIATELY with a perfect overhand right that rocks Fury and sends him stumbling back several feet:

7:05-7:14 of the same video above.

Then we see Chisora suddenly getting himself out of the corner and overwhelming Fury with a barrage of shots. The so called defensive wizard is nailed repeatedly through and around the guard and he can't think of any other way to protect himself than to panic and illegally lean on Chisora's back:

    9:31 to 9:55

Imagine Rocky getting fury in a corner and unloading like this every single round.

Fury also does not protect his body and he marks up easily both on his stomach and his face. Listen to the commentator who points out that Cunningham has marked Fury's body red in the 1st round with mere jabs:

    0:02-0:06

Or how about the cherry pick gone wrong Otto Wallin who landed a whopping 43 jabs and 84 power shots to the body? Not to mention the gruesome cut? When Rocky has fury on the ropes or gets inside, he isnt going to be like these modern guys who just allows himself to get tied up or leans on the opponents chest to catch a breather. He will make fury pay for having little inside fighting ability. And Rocky's lower center of gravity and strong legs would actually make it harder and awkward for fury to push him back as a lumbering 6'9 guy with flabby arms.

As for punching power, don't let the wilder stoppage fool you. Fury is feather fisted and despite his massive weight, for some reason he cant get all that mass into his shots. He mostly throws pitter patters or pawing range finders. Even when he sure down on his shots, they're ugly arm punches. The Cunningham ko was illegal (he stiff armed and blinded him with the left before throwing the right from outside his peripheral vision. Other than this questionable ko over a 36 year old journeyman, stopping chisora on his feet due to swelling, and wilder's corner throwing in the towel (a guy who never recovered from a shot to the ear and was still punching back) he doesn't have any noteworthy stoppages at world level. He couldn't even drop, let alone ko an old ass glass jawed Klitschko.

The last elephant in the room is the whole "cut stoppage" argument. Well, rocky was never stopped on a cut. You say "the ref was lenient" and i say, so was the wallin fight! The facts of the matter are both men had skin that swelled and cut relatively fast so both are possibilities.

    To sum it up:

-Fury lacks power and snap and isnt point Rocky in a million years.
-furys jab is overrated. He tends to paw with it and his shots lacks weight or snap to deter rocky from approaching.
-Fury sucks on the inside and is wide open to body shots rocky would bully him there and make him uncomfortable.
-Fury is open to both a leaping left hook and an overhand right, both of which rocky is not only good at, but has the stamina to reload and use constantly.
-Fury would not like fighting at rocky's high volume pace. It would be hard to win a decision constantly needing to clinch or lean to avoid exchanging or getting pummeled on the ropes or in the corner.
-Fury lacks the tools to properly deal with a skilled pressure fighter. Inconsistent pawing jab, backs up in straight lines, leaky defense, garbage uppercut, can't fight inside, doesn't protect the body, etc.
-his "Kronk style" coming forward with weight on the front is a recipe for disaster since he'd need to punch down and he'd be open to getting tagged bt rocky who never backed up and there looping shots in short motions.
-Fury's best elite level wins are a gunshy 39 year old klitschko who threw a measly 231 punches (and only landed 52) and a scared clueless wild swinging wilder who never recovered from a very questionable shot to the ear. He has yet to beat a prime elite fighter who knows what he's doing, let alone an iron chinned elite pressure fighter. Rocky has beaten several guys with Fury's style, albeit smaller.

Doesn't matter. It's still 8 inches taller than Marciano.

speculation again - Fury is a big man and my favorite in heavyweight right now - Marciano is one of my favorites -raw courage-power- stamina and will - fearless
Fury has skills and strong will but other than a cut against the big swede in the fight before Wilder and getting dropped by Cunningham he still yet has to face the adversity of a split nose (bone hanging out) or behind on points and pulling it out- I am hoping Fury has more good stuff in his future but a chin is a chin is a chin- Fury has Big size advantage against Marciano- but Marciano faced some very experienced opponents with boxing IQ and skills - If size is your thing go with Fury - If fighting to the death is your thing pick the true gladiator - Rocco - I love both for what they have accomplished
