    Against those? Probably 5-2/6-1. Vs others from that period (Mormeck/Adamek/Cunningham ect.) he'd do himself really well. He'd be a greater fighter than he was originally.

    Usyk and Briedis fights would be awesome, though.

    I think only Usyk and Haye gives him seriously trouble.
    I also see Jirov-s pressure breaking down Haye.

    He could hang with them all. But it's not a given he goes even 50% here. Huck and Afolabi are the only guys he'd definitely beat.

    I like Huck but Jirov is too sharp for him. But you're right. It's possible Huck could get a BS decision if the fight was held in Germany.

    It'd be a masterclass of pushing, headlocking, elbowing, hitting the back of the head from Huck against Jirov in Germany. Any where else in the world, he gets stopped late.

    Loses to Usyk beats Huck, Afolabi and he at worst goes 2-2 against Briedis, Haye, Gassiev and Lebedev but they're hard ones to call.

    I first saw Jirov in the Olympics when he won his Olympic gold down at LHW and he was a beastly amateur too.

    His body attack was murderous

    Toney put him down in the 12 round and after landing 300+ punches. Haye doesn't fight near the style that Toney fights.
    Mesi couldn't put him down and he's a hard hitting heavyweight.
    I also said, Haye could break because of pressure, I didn't say he would.
    It's a pick'em fight.

    A good fighter who I just haven't seen enough of

    Cruiser has guys like jirov Gomez and wamba who held belts and defended many times but rarely get put in top 5 or top 3 lists and seemed to be very accomplished while cruiser was an unpopular division

    Now a days I feel like cruisers of recent times get a ton of credit but are they much better?

    I think his corner is partially to blame for the Toney loss. Sure Toney was a beast and slick as oil on grease but their game plan hinged on him just attacking Toney relentlessly because they thought it was going to wear him out and he wouldn't be able to take it and would succumb to the pressure in the second half of the fight. Meanwhile Jirov was wading recklessly all night and getting caught with a ton of clean shots and counters and they inevitably took their toll on him down the stretch. IIRC, and it's been a long time since I last saw it so I could be remembering it wrong, he was actually doing better when he kept it a bit longer as opposed to wading in face first to shot after shot trying to wear Toney out. Great fight though.

    Very wreckless, he was getting stunned quite evidently in the third, when fresh. Maybe stand off a little an try an counterpunch the counterpuncher considering your longer, no change in tactics. He fought from the off like he thought he would eventually stop Toney, an took a hiding down the stretch, looked weaker than Toney too in his shots. Really poor tactics an cornerwork

    Jirov underachieved if anything. I have to give those guys all an edge against him though but it wouldn't shock me if he pulled a win off in a couple. But Haye, Gassiev, Lebedev and Briedis would all be favorites. He's probably have the best chance outboxing Gassiev but I'm not sure hed play the matador enough to avoid a Gassiev kill shot. Some here have said he'd grind Haye down but I'm not so sure about that.

    Definitely. Fat Toney didn't too well if you kept it long. a worse version but look at how Sam Peter of all people outjabbed him.
