Parker (W) v Povetkin - Another very tough fight to pick a winner. I am going to go with Parker edging this on points in a tough grueling fight for them pair of them.

Usyk (W) v Whyte - I see Whyte physicality providng Usyk with problems (similar to Whyte vs Parker) for the first fews round before Usyk works him out and systematically breaks Whyte down and manages to do what Rivas and Parker where close to doing and actuallty stops Whyte in the final couple of rounds as Whyte gassses out.

Fury v Ruiz (w) - tough fight to call I can see two outcomes. I can see Fury fighting well on the back foot and out boxing Ruiz and earning points win in a very close fight similar to Wallin (although Ruiz is levels above Wallin) and Ruiz hand speed and counterpunching providing a tough test. However i would probably favour Ruiz catching Fury (who as we know has a suspect jaw), who looked extremely open against a featherfisted opponent (Wallin) who caused all sorts of problems just walking him down and being decent on the counter (Ruiz is probably the best at that style).

Wilder v Joshua (W) - A complete total missmatch, the most one sided fight so far in the competition. Brutal KO 1st round win for AJ who would take the fight straight to to glass jaw Wilder as soon as bell the rings. Wilder will be forced on the back foot and in doing rendering so himself useless.

Interesting Parker is still in this.

Anytime in the past I would have given Povetkin the nod over him (on averages) but
if this tournament happened it's going to be getting to this stage at least a year+ from now.

Parker seems like he's been around forever, so I keep forgetting he's only 28.

    PARKER (points) v Povetkin.
Parker on points. He finally shows what he’s made of on the big stage. I think he’d announce himself as a legit contender after this. He’d be too young and fresh for Povetkin who couldn’t bully him like Whyte did. A fair ref would allow him to fight unlike in the Joshua fight.

    USYK (Points) v Whyte.
They’re listed as the same height and let’s be honest when Whyte is heavy he looks absolutely terrible. Therefore I don’t see size being a factor at all in this. Usyk out boxes him and easily dodges some wild left hooks. I think he’d have to survive some dodgy moments but the class would tell.

    FURY (tko) v Ruiz
This would be easy. Even an average boxer, (which Fury obviously isn’t) with them advantages should school a little, fat pudding like him. Joshua proved this in the second fight. People got carried away with Ruiz after the first Joshua fight, the only reason he won was because Joshua let him from stupidity. Fury would barely take a shot and stop him in the mid rounds.

    Wilder v JOSHUA (ko)
The general consensus before Fury Wilder 2 was Wilder would destroy AJ. At least I’m consistent I’ve always said Joshua is average and Wilder is terrible. Joshua is the far better boxer and I think Wilder will be gun shy now meaning a cautious Joshua could bide his time and ko Wilder better than Fury did.

Can you do something like this for all the divisions?

Do you fancy starting a British Boxing Forum ‘mess about’ super series alongside this in another division bud? Welterweight would be some division.

Parker vs Povetkin (W) Parker has become too comfortable as a multi millionaire and had gained more than a few pounds judging by his recent Bridget Jones dancing video. Obetkin by points.

Whyte (W) vs Usyk is criminally overrated and will lose to far lesser heavyweights than Whyte. Unless of course Whyte comes in as a fat mess like he did bs Wach....in which case it will be close.l but still expect the Heavy to beat the Cruiser.

Fury (W) vs Ruiz the clearest cocker of the quarter finals. If AJ’s movements and jab caused Ruiz problems then Tyson would have him quitting in tears. 119-109.

Wilder vs Joshua (W) I doubt Wilder makes the ring but if they do it will be Joshua by KO as Wilder is the least deserving champion since colour TV.

I don’t mind setting up a welterweight thread pal but I think it should come from you since this good idea was yours.

Go for it bud, i looked forward to seeing how it pans out. If it’s a top 16, I wonder if you’ll be able to get 1 or 2 British fighters in it?
