When this fight was scheduled would Haye have had a decent shot at beating Fury? 2013 I think it was.. not long after he'd sparked Chisora in 5.. he pulled out due to injuries but how would it have gone had he stayed healthy? Quick, athletic, explosive fighter in his day .. slippery too.. would have been interesting.. I think Haye was even the odds on favourite

David Haye had a very suspect cut above his eye days before the fight was due to take place. He then pulled out again. I don't think he wanted any part in it. Nobody knows what really happened.

Tyson Fury looked great before that bout.

Fury was going to ruin him if he showed up so he bottled it and did as much damage to Fury’s career as possible out of spite

    Haye would have won.

Still in his prime, Tyson hadn’t beaten anyone of note at the time, and Haye was more experienced on the big stage.

Tyson then was not the Tyson of now.

Haye would have had a shot, definitely but I don't think he really wanted the fight.
He knew back then how good Tyson was.

Haye was a shytehouse who would have run away all night - Fury knew it and Haye knew from his training camp that his body was no longer up to it.

Haye would lose 9/10 times in that fight, at that stage.

    Haye ducked that fight FR.

Fury would have won. Haye had terrific offensive skills, but just did not have a prime time heavyweight chin. Nor could he have gotten past the reach difference.

Anyway, this is the one that sticks in me. This was a very good fight that should have happened.

Not blaming Haye, though. If he says he was injured twice, then he was injured twice. I do remember the Fury family vowed never to do business with him again.

Haye would have been dangerous for the first couple of rounds.

But then there is weight height and reach...

Haye knew he was going to lose, which is why he chickened out of the fight.

Haye would have been the favourite, but even back then I thought Tyson Fury could beat him because of styles, size etc. Haye was a small HW compared to Tyson. I thought Fury would have won.
