And that’s exactly what Abel meant: That both fighters fought a great fight, Canelo got the decision and he deserves respect for his efforts. Canelo groupies took it as him scoring the fight for Canelo.
I think it's a bizarre argument. At what point when scoring a fight should one pay attention to the pre match hype and what each fighter has said in the press? At no point. It's utterly irrelevant. It's hot air designed to sell a fight to the public. It could even be deliberate misinformation to encourage your opponent to make a mistake in their preparations. I don' t care what GGG or Canelo said they were going to do beforehand. I care about what happened in the ring and so should Roy.
The first fight was not a fair decision. Ther ehave been numerous threads stating all the critics who voted GGG over canelo and it was overwhelming so please. Stop the bull****.
the judges are swayed just like people. It’s not just GGG hype before the fight it’s who he was as a fighter. before that no man had walked him down & backed him up. Psychological for The fighters, for the the judges & the fans. it factors in. It shouldn’t affect the judges but it does.
Who he was as a fighter is also irrelevant. His history in the ring is irrelevant. Judges are professional people doing a paid job. The minute any of them start paying attention to irrelevant aspects of the pre fight build-up they should quit. Likewise, as fans judging the fight we can either choose to ignore irrelevant aspects or not. Anyone deliberately choosing to take account of them when scoring a fight should be prepared to see their opinion summarily dismissed. We're scoring the fight, nothing else.
I actually think GGG-Canelo 2 is a definite GGG win, clearer than the first one. I was alright with the draw in GGG-Canelo I.
You know & are **** all...there is a saying which covers bullshitters like you bub When the tide goes out you see who has been swimming naked’.
Oh another thread where Canelo butt***** fanboys are in delusional. Results are clear. You have to be 110% bias to give Canelo a draw, guess what a fanatic you need to be to give Canelo to notch in the second fight. Golovkin beat him straight up 8-4 rounds and that is with every close round given to Canelo.
I haven't read any posts in this thread. 90% is fanboy bias or people who simply don't know anything about boxing. I had Canelo winning by 1 round. It was a close fight, but I had Canelo winning simply because his punches were more effective than GGG's jab which faded drastically as the fight went on.
