Why do I keep hearing Pac should clear out 135 first instead of takeing a Superfight with Hatton?

Is it the Marquez fans who want a third fight or the Hatton contingent who fear Pac will blast their man.

Obviously the fight everyone would love to see the one that gets the pulses raceing and is best for boxing is Hat vs Pac.

135 consists of a guy Pac already beat, a shot guy, and a guy who has lost a few times. what gives?

because mayweather fought dela hoya already and the fight was boring so no one wants to see the second fight. hey, i was excited to hear dela hoya agreed to fight mayweather after he beat mayorga. whereas pac hasn't fought hatton yet and many say its his biggest challenge to date. the fight also has the makings of a slugfest.

..and Hatton is coming off a loss against PBF and Looked like **** against Lazcano!

If you're going to oversimplify at least go all the way:patsch

so a Pac vs Hat fight is no big deal and not the one you prefer? its not as exciting or interesting. Not as big for boxing or the casual fan as your alternative, which is what!! if you dont mind me asking?

I actually want him to fight Campbell. Does more for his legacy IMHO as he would be the first Filipino to unify ANY weight class.

i agree. history will remember a man who unified all the titles at a certain wait while being #1 p4p over a man who beat a good bigger man that sold a lot of fights. i guess pac's camp see hatton as a moneymaker and that is why they are chasing him. still, they will not have another fight at 140 should he beat hatton, he will go back to 135 and hopefully he could take care of business there and be economically made for life because of the hatton fight

I'm a Pac-fan so I enjoy watching him fight no matter who the opponent is, but more than anything I'm a boxing fan and I only want to see the best fights out there.

Hatton/Pac is a fight I want to see down the line but right now Pac should focus on making a statement at 135 before he decides to move on.

I hear that Valero might be his next opponent, I would prefer Soto and then the winner of Casa/JMM and/or Campbell/Guzman!

because the LW div is packed with good fights and if hatton cant get past paulie it might be a super fight to the general public but it wont for me

    Is possible?

    Who says Hatton is interested?

This is by faaaaar the best fight for Pac. So far his fans are pinnoys and latinos (because he is in their divisions). If he can get and beat Hatton then he can break into a whole new audience.

I am speaking 'in general' here. There are of ocurse some none-latinos etc. that follow him as well.

yes its hard for the Celts to embrace an Asian unless he is Bruce Lee
it may sound like a racist **** thing to say but read between the lines its a valid point. It certainly would explain your ecomment on his fans so far.
