Donald Curry was as minimalist as they come. If it didn't need to be done, it wasn't.

Moorer/Michelczewski/Ricardo Lopez have the best accuracy I've seen.

2nd tier would have been Ali, but he just was not accurate with that left hook enough. Napoles was another.

Arguello and Louis were the first two that came to mind.
Garcia is an excellent modern pick!

Mayweather by far, it would be interesting if someone on here was dedicated or sad enough to gather stats from fight footage from a few of those mentioned.

Mayweather had impeccable timing, did he ever miss with that lead right hand of his?? Lol

Agreed, Mayweather is definitely up there.. I believe his stats were 39 punches a round... When he threw , it counted

Man I really like the way Garcia fights! He does so many things well and is such a Sharp puncher. I really like his chances against Manny when that fight happens.

But what if he fought a great fighter who forced him to throw more without the pillow gloves, over 15 rds, not at home in Vegas but in a challengers foreign country with the locals howling for his blood & the referee not protecting him? You know, like Mamby. Cervantes. Duran. De Jesus, Monzon. Galindez. Canto. Arguello. Pedroza. Ali. Etc did. No.

Anyone else notice that a lot of the guys we are suggesting are known for throwing great right hands? Whether it's Floyd with the counter right hand from the Philly shell or Louis and Koysta with straight rights over their opponents jab. Conventional fighters that throw the right well seem to come up a lot when talking about accuracy.

As much as I love Floyd as a fighter you are correct. He has pretty much been able to call the shots ever since winning the gold medal and always put himself in the best position to win. This is not to take away from his tremendous skill but when you see guys like the ones you mentioned that didn't have the marquee name or following achieve what they were able to achieve, it does put his undefeated record in perspective.
