I wonder who Martinez was going to fight? Maidana wants to return as well but look at the state of Argentina ↓

Martinez is probably better off fighting the virus than fighting top middleweights. His knees are done and for a mover, that's a sure way to catch a beating.
    Chico isn't hungry a anymore.

Maybe the stem cell knees have finally found their rhythm? I agree though, I think both should stay retired. There's nothing left to prove I don't get it, it's very hard to let go tho I understand

Let's get to the real reason for this thread: What's that video meant to be showing?

Makes me sad that he is returning to the ring. He is a true warrior so I'm not surprised, but he is nowhere near the fighter he was. Don't want to see him get KO'd by someone he would of wiped the floor with back in the day.

he needs to stay retired - his style doesn't gel well with time and especially not with those knee issues

    Is this for real??

there was talk of maidana returning but I knew it wouldn’t go ahead. How is Sérgio gonna pass a medical. He was having knee problems in the run up to the Chavez fight.

he might get a Latvian licence

A speck of good news. Let's just hope that this give Sergio time to reconsider and stay retired.

He seemed to have an appropriate ending when he did. Looks bad to come back at 45, 46 or whatever he has to be after 5 years out.

I hope he postpones forever. He is risking serious damages to his health.

Maybe. But even with solid knees he's 44 or 45. Not a great age for reflex fighters. Both of them probably have good lifes in Argentina. Training some young fighters would be a safer way to get their boxing fix.
