Boxing movie on BBC2 tonight at 10:45pm

    Just seen it on the TV guide. It’s called “Jawbone” and has a 96% Rotten Tomatoes rating so might be worth a watch.

    I know we’re all desperate for a boxing fix during this prolonged period of no boxing so just a heads up for anyone bored out of their shitter.

    Should be on iPlayer from tonight too I’d imagine.

    I like it. Saw it on Netflix I think. Or something like that.

    Anything with Ray Winstone AND Ian McShane in it is worth a watch.

    It was decent. I read up on it afterwards and learned that Barry McGuigan trained Johnny Harris (the lead actor) for his role. He did a really good job because he looked like he had been boxing for years in the little training segments during the film. Bit of a depressing film but was good.

    I believe Johnny Harris was an amateur boxer then went to an acting school in Kennington and took up acting and directing

    Good film, the fight scenes in the unlicensed fight were pretty realistic. Dark British Movie I enjoyed it
