I'd say a Linares win for Garcia would be the stage where he's ready to take on the likes of Tank. Until then, let's wait and see.
The thing about Garcia is he doesn't have a lot of active head movement. When he throws a 1-2, or a 2 or 3 he doesn't roll with his shots; his head stays in a predictable position and his chin stays in the air. He can duck and slip when his opponent is mid combination, but what matters at the highest level is being active with your head while you throw. A skilled fighter, and I think Tank is plenty skilled, will find him with the counter all night. I don't mind Garcia. I think he's a great talent and adds a lot of intrigue to an already interesting division. I just don't see the iron in him. He may have it, but I don't think he does. The fight does need to happen soon, and it's not because Garcia is going to hit his cobra bag enough to suddenly become an elite boxer. Tank is on a bad path, and might eat and drink away his hope of achieving what he's capable of.
Garcia’s physique looks more fragile but we haven’t seen anything from him in a fight to indicate that this is actually true.
Because he is writing cheques with his mouth his ass can’t cash. There is a reason Tank became the youngest world champion in this generation. Garcia wants it he can have it. Mayweather Promotions wanted to spare him for the future but the kid keeps mouthing off.
How do you know he cant back up his talk? Youre actually worked up over a young, undefeated fighter trash talking? lol Yet you have no problem with Tanks antics outside the ring? Seriously?
Tank is now the person being spared for the future is Garcia hopefully to make him a bigger star before popping Ng his cherry
Both guys are better than they are getting credit for through page 1. Tank is a monster, and to underestimate him is foolish.
