No, Sanders had Wlad's number. He found the same angle that Wlad couldn't defend over and over. Wald would've taken the rematch if he had any confidence.

Dokes--Weaver was the worst ever. That fight occurred right after Mancini--Kim and the ref jumped the gun when Weaver was fine and defending as if it were an am fight. It's right there to watch on youtube.

On the topic of Rahman, there's little shame in Sanders' loss to him. They went to war, Sanders was stopped on his feet, and Rahman beat Lewis in his next fight. Rahman himself had a significantly better career than Sanders or Dokes.

    So did McCall.

Pretty good matchup but I am leaning towards Sanders by KO. Dokes in his prime was a hell of a fighter but I like Sanders with his power in this one.

It was early but i remember the fight clearly Weaver was going to get stopped sooner or later. You can't stand against the ropes taking bombs without throwing anything back for 40 seconds like Weaver was. It was alot like Mayweather vs angel manfredy. Yeah, manfredy was fine physically but you can't just take shots without returning fire for that long and expect the ref to know your ok.

To be frank, I see this as a pretty even matchup and it sounds like you agree on some level so we're splitting hairs at this point. Both solid fighteea/titlists

It's like two minutes of your time. Here it is:

And right I generally don't put a ton of faith in Corrie Sanders and think Dokes was pretty good. One thing with Sanders though is that his best was probably in the 90s when he was boxing 12 rounds.

Yeah, your right it's pretty bad. Still though if your getting your head snapped back against the ropes after a kd you've got to return fire at some point or that can happen

Would this be a serious question if Sanders had never fought the Klitschkos?

Would this be a question if Dokes didn't fight his best opponents?

Are you alluding to Holyfield and Ruddock? The loss to Holyfied is no shame in my estimation, and he was pretty out of shape against Ruddock.
His other losses come too late to mean much, in my opinion.

Edit: I just checked Boxrec and see that I forgot about his loss to Sanders' countryman Coetztee. I still don't see what Sanders did prior to Klitschko that would make one doubt that Page should be the favorite.

Of course, in the universe we actually inhabit, he did knock out Wlad and had Vitali in very real trouble early before getting starched himself, so I guess you could argue that my counterfactual is moot.
