if Marciano had to face Prime Tyson. What do you think what would have done rocky? Would he have kept his body weight at 186 pounds or increased his weight to suit an opponent with these characteristics?

He could do with hiding an AK47 in his gloves. Otherwise he's ****ed

He would gain weight for his heavier opponents. Now a days he’s would weight much more then he did if fighting at heavy. Otherwise he would probably weigh 190-192 area with the training methods of the times. Today you’d be able to gain considerable mass and not lose speed.

Oh like any fighter today Rocky would throw away his tried and true training for PEDs WEIGHTLIFTING AND BINGEEATING. Come in about 235. Have surgery to lengthen his legs and arms. He would be rebuilt, better than he was before. Absolutely!!

    More context.

Does he have the choices of his own era, or does he have everything Tyson has, or everything available today?

For the fight to happen both have to exist at the same time using the same methods.

They would therefore be physically very comparable to each other.

This is exactly the point! It’s hard for some to wrap their minds around it. Tyson would
Have a slight edge in weight most likely. Slight. As in within ten pounds.

Mike was 200 pounds at 13. He was quite a bit bigger framed.

And then there are those little issues of speed and balance....

Tyson was only 216lb because of the time he fought.

Rocky was only 189lb because of the time he fought.

And that’s all there is to it.

Marciano was well 200 in his youth as well. When he came back from the military he def was. At the exact age of 13 I don’t know. That has nothing to do with adult weight anyway.

Put them in the same time zone and they are in a similar weight bracket.

But aside from all of this, it is very interesting to me that as a champion, Tyson himself was kept busier than his challengers. A lot of them were sitting on rankings without meeting good fighters. So many of them were vastly underprepared for World title fights. Holmes was dug up. Tubbs, Thomas, Bruno, Biggs, Spinks has not fought decent opponents for years. They were horribly prepared when you think about it.

Berbick, Williams, Smith, Tucker and Douglas were really about the best equipped to fight Tyson. There’s only two good results from those five fights. Smith and Tucker made Tyson look ordinary. Douglas knocked him out. How good were Berbick and Williams compared to Walcott, Charles and Moore?

Do you think Berbick and Williams beat Charles, Walcott, Moore? Or even old Joe Louis? I don’t.

Yes there are plenty of lean 5ft10 215lbs people running around the gym absolutely this modern food and thing called weightlifting really has turned us all into superman!

Tyson was on PED's Rocky was not he was of average build because he did not lift weights and was not lean at all at about his height life time natural bodybuilder Eugene Sandow was 189lbs in his prime at ABOUT 10% bodyfat.

There are no natural men of average height running around ripped weighing over 200lbs... dont be a spaz

Interesting question... But even in his own era Rocky could have picked fighting a bit heavier right?
