I have never seen this mythical match up on here before but I think this would be an extremely fun and fan friendly brawl between two of the stronger Middleweights that I can think of. I think Tiger would win this war via UD but Barkley would be right there with him all the way to the brutal end. Who do you guys have?

This is a mismatch if there ever was one.

Tiger would give Iran one of the worst beatings ever witnessed.

Not a competitive fight at all.

Iran wasn't short enough with his punches and would be too open for Tiger's shorter punches inside. Tiger would tear him up. Stoppage around the 10th.

I agree that Tiger would likely win but I don't see it as a one sided beat down at all. Tiger was a strong puncher but he had a less than 50% KO rate in his wins. Barkley had a pretty damn good chin at middleweight and was able to walk right through Hearns right hand. Again, I see Tiger as the favorite but this is not a total mismatch.

I too see it as a good fight, not a mismatch. Iran had heart and a punch. He'd lose after giving Tiger hell imo.

The problem for Iran is that Tiger can do pretty much everything that he can do, but better than him.

Tiger beats the crap out of him after a competitive start. Barkley was too willing to trade and was lesser than Tiger in both punch and chin. His big heart just means he gets a longer beating before he collapses. To beat Tiger you either have to have an atom bomb punch, a steel chin or great boxing skills based off of a jab, preferably.

Barkley was insanely tough, I can see him either lasting the distance in a losing effort, or getting TKO'd late.

Iran was a tough SOB but his legacy pretty much rests on two wins over Hearns, awesome don't get me wrong, but he pretty much lost to every other ATG fighter he faced. Tiger has wins over Torres, Fullmer, Giardello, Benvenuti, Downes as well as decent contenders like Henry Hank and Ruben Carter. Hearns is probably a better scalp than these individually but Tiger showed he could consistently win against world class fighters which Iran did not. Finding a way to win against a variety of opponents is the sign of a great fighter, Dick Tiger, while Iran is a decent fighter with two great wins.
